Digi Sheck color combo challenge

Wow, two cards in one day. I am on a roll. to bad I have lost my Mojo. Have any of you seen it? I am not feeling so creative lately. I feel like I am in a rut. Do you ever get like that, and if so what do you do to get out?

Digi Shack is hosting a color combo challenge today. The colors: Going gray, summer sun, and certian celery. I don't have those colors in DP, so I used what I had that was close. I used this super cute new image (birthday Ellie)from the Digi Shack. If you're not farmilar with digi images, you should give them a try. My favorite thing with the images is the fact that I can make the image any size I want. I tend to like larger images, so this is perfect. If I want to print on pattern paper, that works too. Digi shack will be having a new release on in the beginning of May. I can't wait to see what Toni has up her sleeve! If you get a chance, get out the Digi Shack DT's blogs and see what they did with the challenge. When uploading to SCS please use TDSC02 as your keyword, so we can find your card. Happy creating!

Three Clovers Thursday challenge

Happy Thursday all. one more day till the weekend. Any big plans? I have a christining, and Homework to do. I am in my last 2 weeks of school. I will Studying for finals as well. The weather here in NH is supposed to reach 80. Can you believe it. It hasn't been abpve 60 yet and now we are going straight to 80.

Today, Kerry's challenge is a Animal theme challenge. I love animals, and I have a ton of animal stamps, so you would have thought that this would have been easy, but I struggled. I wanted the card ti be PERFECT! I dug through my High Hopes stamps and decided to go with the pig, and then I couldn't find a layout I wanted to use. So, Where do you go when you are struggling for ideas? Splitcoaststampers. I am across a card by Artfully Ila, and decided I would use one of her cards for inspiration. So, my result was this card. I feel pretty happy with the results. What do you think?

If you get a chance, hop on over to Kerry's Blog and join in the fun. The three clovers inspiration team has some great samples of the challenge they did, so take a peek.

Whachadoin Wednesday challenge #37-Same but different

Happy Wednesday All. Are you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday? You know what Wednesday means..... Whachadoin Wednesday challenge with SU INK. The challenge today was to make 2 cards the same, same layout, same stamp, but different. It can be whatever you would like. So, when I made my cards for the challenge, I also incorporated MJ's sketch challenge. Woo Hoo, two challenges in one. Love it!!!

My first card was made using "Rain, Rain Go Away" by SU INK. I paper pieced he boys rain suit and colored the rest. I kinda like how the mud turned out in the puddle. Does it look like mud?

My second card, using same sketch different materials, was made using SU INK's "Welcome To The Zoo" set. When I made this card, I had a friend's baby in mind, so I went with that. I did end up using blue and yellow on both cards. This card ended up being more on the simple side than I am used to. I am not good at SIMPLE!

Well, that is it for today. I am have tickets to the RED SOX game tonight, but the weather is not looking to good. It poured all day yesterday, and was nice this morning, but now it is starting to get really dark. I sure do hope it holds out.

If you get a chance, hop on over to the SU INK blog and check out the rest of the sample from the design team. They are all so creative. Have a great Wednesday and pray for sun for me.

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: SU INK, and sentiment by AMUSE.

Hollywood Week

Happy Monday all. Just think, only 4 more days till Friday! Did you have a nice weekend? Per our ususal, we had a busy weekend, but nice. Friday night we went took the kids for ice cream, Saturday Abbey and I attended her CCD retreat, and then I worked both Sat night and Sunday. What did you do?

So, what is Hollywood week? Well, I applied for the Inky Impression design team, and I made it to the second round. My hubby likes to refer to this as Hollywood week (as in American Idol). so, if you watch American Idol, you know that I need to make it past here to move on to the finals.

Nicole at Inky Impressions challenged us with a sketch and one of her new images. We were to make are card using both. This is my result, my Hollywood week project. What do you think? I love the image, and loved coloring it even more. Great practice with the copics (which I have decided I can't live without)!

I tried to catch a close up of the girl, so you could see the details of the stamp better. Look....She has finger nail polish on, she has a braclet, a necklace, a head band. The details in the stamp are amazing. Her store is in progress, so you will have to wait to see more, but you can get a taste of her images from her blog. I can't wait to see Nicoles line.

I will keep you updated on Holly wood week. Will I move on, or is this the end (hehehehe). I LOVE American Idol! Nothing like the Drama Ryan Seacrest creates! Happy Creating!

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #65 :Meet Me at The Playground

Happy Thursday! Can you see the weekend? It's almost here. Any big plans? I have a weekend of work, b-day parties, and homework. Nothing major. I would like to fit in a card or 2.

What have you been stamping lately? I tend to go through phases, for a while there, I was on a Whipper snapper kick, and then High Hopes, but lately, I feel like I have been doing lots of different things, which is nice. What kick are you on?

Todays card was done for MJ's Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge. A little late, but I did it. I used SU INK & MORE "Come Play With me". This is a fantastic set. Good for card makers, but GREAT for scrapbookers. How many pictures do you have of your kids at the playground? If your me, the answer is 1000. I guess, I will try to scrapbook some of those and use the stamp set. I will share with you when I get to scrapbooking.

Well, I am off to my Stats class, and then a day filled with errands. If you get a chance, head over to MJ's blog and play along. I think it was a great sketch and lots of fun to work with. Have a TERRIFIC Thursday and happy creating.

Last but NOT least. I would like to thank you all for coming by yesterday and visiting my blog and checking out the Digi Shack. Thank you all for you wonderful comments. I really appreciate it. Without my blog budddies, my blog wouldn't what it is . THANK YOU!!!!!

It's a Turtle kind of Monday

Happy Monday all! Did you have a good Easter? We had a very nice weekend. We went to dinner with my Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister-in-law Sat night for my Birthday (it seems like it was a week long celebration). My Mom and Dad got me tickets to the Red Sox (really hard to get), and my Brother and his wife gave me GC to one of my LSS. It was a really nice dinner. Then yesterday my parents came up and I cooked a New England Boiled dinner (YUM), and then my in-laws came up for dessert. My hubby and kids were exhausted, so they went to bed, and I went to my crafty place, and here is what I made.

I have to say, for such a simple card, it took me forever to color the turtle. I must have spent 1 hour just coloring the image. Did I mention that I really like to color. Of course I couldn't just color the image, I had to color, cut and pop dot the shell. I feel like I pop dot everything. I don't know, maybe I feel like it gives it a little something. What do you think. Do you pop dot everything?

Well, I am off to school and I am hoping to have many cards done this week. I am shooting for a card a day. No test this week (amazing), so I am hoping to get crafty!

Have a fabulous Monday!

Supplies:
Stamp: Whipper Snapper
INK: Copics, and memento black
paper: SU cardstock
misc: punches, brads, and cuttlebug embossing folder.

Michelle, This card is coming your way!

Exciting News & A Sweet Share!

I have some exciteingg news to share, I have just been offered a position with the Digi Shack Design team. How cool is that? Digital images are new to me, but I am so excited to play with them. I wanted to make a card with my announcement, but with Easter being tomorrow, I didn't have time, but I couldn't wait to share my news.

You should definitely check them out. They have really cute images, and guess what, you can use your copics to color. All you need is your printer and cardstock, and you can print them when you want them. No need to have to pay for s&h, just order and their they are. So, be on the look out for Digi Shack samples. I can;t wait to play!

I have a co-worker, who has become a very good friend, and she knows how crazy I can be about my card making hobby. Well, Thursday was my b-day, and when I went into work on Friday night, there on the desk was a card that she had made for me herself (she is not a cardmaker). She did a amazing job, and even researched how we include the recipe for the card. I had to scan it and share it with you. How sweet!!!! If you read this Heather, Thank you for taking the time to make me a card. I Loved it!!!!

Three Clovers Design Thursday!

Happy Thursday!!!! Today's card was made for 3CT. The challenge was a color challenge:Rose Red, So Saffron, Always artichoke. I believe I cheated a little, I didn't have always artichoke DP, so I used what I had. I have to say, I sat down to make this card at 10:30pm, and I had no clue what I was going to do. so I picked a image I wanted to play with, and I picked some paper and off I went. What do you think? What is your feeling on Magnolia images?

If you get a chance, hop on over to Kerry's blog and check out what the other DT members came up with. Then, head to your crafty space and join in on the fun. Have a Terrific Thursday and happy creating!

SUINKWWC35 –PB & J Challenge

Happy Wednesday all!! I made todays card for the SU INK & MORE Whachadoin' Wednesday challenge. I bet you thought I was talking about peanut butter and Jelly, but the challenge is Pink, Buttons, and Just one more embellishment. How easy is that?
There was a splitcoast technique challenge for Flower pot cards. Have you seen these before? There are some GORGEOUS samples in the gallery. Well, I decided I would give this challenge a shot. I have to admit, this was one of the easiest cards I have ever made, and what better time, than a Easter flower pot. I used the stamp set You're Somebunny special from SU INK, and I used a punch to make the flowers, and just when I thought I owned everything, I discovered I don't have any type of leaf punch, so I hand cut my own (don't look to close, theyy aren't pretty). I guess I will have to make a stop at micheals this week (like I wasn't going to anyway, hehehe).

Hope you play along. Please use the keyword SUINKWWC35 when uploading online! Don't forget to check out the SU INK & MORE blog for some amazing design team samples.

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: SU INK & MORE
Paper: SU DP & Cardstock

A Girl & Her Dog!

Did you have a Wonderful weekend? Mine was super busy, but I managed to take an hour to make a card. I am not typically a Tilda kind of girl, but I made this card for my BF Kerry. She is a amazing card maker and a great inspiration, and I wanted to wish her a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on making the Magnolia-licious design team. Well deserved my friend.

There are a ton of Magnolia images, but this is one of my favorite. Why you ask; first because the little girl reminds me of my daughter Abbey, and second, I love dogs and the girl with the puppy is so cute! Love it! Had a great time coloring this image. Practice makes perfect right!

Little tidbit of info: The gems in the corners were clear. I used my Copics to color them. Copics aren't just for paper, you can color your gems, your baubles, and anything else. They dry right up. Try it out!

I hope you have a great night, and happy creating!

Baby on Board!

First let me say "NO, not me"!!!! I have a friend that has 4 kids from ages 6 to 6 months, and is now pregnant with her 5th child. So, when I saw this High hopes stamp, I knew I had to make her a card with it.

The stamp only comes with 3 bunnies, so I had to paper piece a bunny in, but I think it worked. I obviously had to write on her shirt, but I REALLY wish my writing was better. I feel like it kind of takes a little away from the card. The good news, she doesn't make a cards, so she won't even notice.

Any big plans for the weekend? Are you ready for Easter? DO you know, I didn't even realize that Easter was next Sunday until yesterday. My life has been crazy busy lately. This week I worked 3 days, had a test for my stats and A&P classes, and I have 2 birthday parties this weekend (Happy Birthday Orla)and my daughter's Cheer leading Banquet. On top of that, I have to study for 2 more tests for next week. I can't wait for this semester to be over, 4 weeks and counting!!!

I am off to dinner with my friends this evening (can't wait), and hopefully sneak in another card this weekend. I hope you have a Fantastic Friday and a Wonderful weekend!
