Happy Friday!!! I hope you are having a great week.  This week has been a busy one for me.  The kids are on April Vacation, so between working and taking the kids places, it has been busy, busy, busy.  The weekend looks to be the same, but added with some fun. Tomorrow, I am off to the Creating Keepsake convention and then going to spend some time with Kim Howard, who is in from Georgia to visit.  Going to be a great weekend.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Insects or animals

Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I am happy to say mine was very nice. I managed to get some crafting done, and for the first time in a long time I made a journal page.   It is hard to tell,but this page is the size of the Smash Book page.  This is a complete Dylusions page. I used all Dylusions sprays and stamps, and generated the saying myself, and of course I made it for this weeks Insects or Animals challenge.  If you look close you will see that I used an ant stamp for the border, and I added a little caterpillar at the bottom.
   As I was checking out last week challenge cards, all I could say to myself is WOW, WOW....you all are so creative. It was really hard to pick just 3 cards.....YIKES....but after narrowing it down, The TOP three from the Flower Power challenge are:

Hey all,I am posting with a bit of a sad heart today, as I am sure many of you heard about the bombing at the Boston Marathon yesterday.  I am originally from Mass, and lived there most of my life, and as a little girl, and every year for years, my Grandmother and Aunt used to take me to the Boston Marathon.  It has always been a great memory for me, and it just saddens me that it is now tainted by a terrorist attack.  What has this world come to???? So, with the yesterdays news so fresh in my mind, I decided to put some of my emotions into my card today.  There were 3 people killed yesterday, and one of them was an 8 yo little boy, so that is what I had in mind today when I was getting creative.  I used the Boy Praying stamp from I brake for stamps, combined with my new authentique DP, and came up with this very simple card.  As I will be praying for all of the people of Boston, I hope you will too. Going Grey With Scrap-Creations: Flower Power

Happy Tuesday!!! Did you have a great weekend?  This was New Hampshire Gymnastics State Champ weekend and we spent the whole weekend watching gymnastics, it was a very long weekend, but it was great to see.  These past two weeks have been crazy busy in my life, and I hate to admit it, but I have had very little time for crafting, so I do not have a card to share with you for this weeks challenge, but I have a great challenge to share with you.  This week, we want to see your Flower Power.  We want to see your creations using flowers, and flower embellishments, DO NOT count as flowers.....Break out those flower stamps or papers......You see, I live in New England, and we just had our first 60 degree day today, so I am in the need of some spring, so let me see some FLOWERS.....lol

I Brake For Nurses!

 

Happy Sunday, are you having a good weekend? I feel as though the weekends go by so fast.  We almost always have plans on the weekends, and this weekend was no different. We attended to Gymnastics State champ meets this weekend, and I had to take a Sociology test, and did I mention that I am not a big fan of this class? Completely boring if you ask me, anyways, needless to say the weekend it just about over and I could use one more day.

I have a card to share with you today, and I am thinking this is going to be me in another 20 or so years....As you may know, I am a nurse and I just love nursing images, especially the crazy one.  I just got this Stella Nurse stamp from I Brake For Stamps and I think she is hysterical. I made this card for my cousin who will be graduating nursing school shortly, and the funny thing is, she is only 21 years, old, but by the time you graduate nursing school, you end up looking like Stella....LOL.
