Black and white

Happy Wednesday!!!   Wednesdays here at Scrap-Creations= Stampotique Originals challenge day.  This weeks challenge is being hosted by Kay Wallace, and here is what she has to say "

It is my turn to host the Stampotique Designers' Challenge this week!  What might seem like a simple challenge to most, for some, whose work is generally full of color, it really will be a challenge.  But, for all of us, it's good to try something different. I have been on a black'n'white artistic kick lately because I love the crisp freshness it can bring to a card, journal page or ATC. Whatever you decide to do, keep it black and white with just a pop of color!  Get creative this week and join us!"

This was a really tough challenge for me, as I love to make cards with color, but I managed. I used Whisker Monster with sign, and used my own handwriting on the sign.  I hope I did Kay proud.  Have a great day, and I hope you will join us for this weeks challenge.

Merry Christmas!

Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great week.  My week has been crazy, I have started taking classes towards my BSN, and life is just so busy.  This weeks Stampotique challenge is Christmas in July, and I decided to make a very simple card.  I used Daniels Tree Topper, and Splatter circle. Gez is our hostess. Here is what she has to say.:

Hi Gez here, I am delighted to be your hostess for this weeks challenge.

It's never too early to start thinking about Christmas right?!! ;-) I thought it would be nice for us to spread a wave of festive cheer throughout Blogland!

Every year I set out with good intentions and imagine a great big stack of handmade Christmas cards all ready to send out nice and early in December, in reality I think it's happened once! So, lets do it together! Dig deep and crack open the Christmas stash box early!!

This is a fun challenge, I hope you enjoy it too!

The Design Team have lots of creative inspiration to get your festive mojo ringing! Happy creating!
**Please read - new rule instituted with this challenge:
We will no longer be accepting digi stamp creations as part of our challenges.
Stampotique is a red rubber stamp company and we prefer to see creations with stamps versus those with digital creations.  These entries will be deleted and will not be eligible for the prize.
Thank you for understanding.**

The Fault in Our Stars!

Happy Hump Day, as you know, I love Wednesdays, as it means that the weekend is that much closer.  I happy this weekend looks like it will be a relaxing one, so I am really looking forward to it.
Today I have a mini journal page to share with you for this weeks Stampotique challenge. This week France is a our hostess and here is what she has to say "Hi! My name is France and I'm a bookworm. No doubt there are a lot of other bookworms among our lovely Stampotiquers.   I would like to know about your favorite books. So my challenge for you, should you accept it, is to create a piece, inspired by your favorite book. Let the story, the title, the cover, a quote inspire you! Now you might have a problem choosing your all time favorite book, don't worry, it's not like you are writing it in stone, just pick one. Or maybe your problem is that you don't like reading at all. Here is how to cheat: go for your favorite film based on a book, we won't tell ;)))"
I recently read the book The Fault in Our Stars, and while it wasn't one of my favorite books, I really did enjoy it, and any book that can make me cry is a good book, and it was my book of choice for this weeks inspiration.  I hope join us for this weeks challenge. It was a lot of fun!

It's My Party.......

Happy Hump Day!!!! I hope you are having a great week.  It has been a fabulous week on my end, as my family and I spent 3 days in Wells Maine, which I completely love.  The weather was gorgeous and the ocean was COLD (60 degrees), but amazing.  It was so nice to just have three days, where the hardest decisions were to go to the beach, or relax at the pool.  Now it's Wednesday and I am heading back to work..blahhh.....don't get me wrong, I love my job, but it certainly doesn't compare to the beach.
So it's Wednesdays and Wednesdays= Stampotique Designers challenge.....This weeks challenge is to use newspaper or magazine.  Magda is this weeks hostess and this is what she has to say about the challenge:
"Hello everyone! It's Magda. I'm back to work after my holidays but still have time for some relaxing. I'm sitting surrounded by books and magazines. Today I would like to ask you to use a newspaper or magazine in your project. It can be a small piece, some images from magazine to make a collage or you can use whole page as a background. Have fun! Can't wait to see your creations!"
I will be honest, this was a true challenge for me. I had no idea what I was going to do. I had no magazines that I wanted to use, so I grabbed a piece of "word" paper and tried to see what I could create with that, but I ended up hating how it came out, but in the end, I decided that I was going to use it anyways, even if it was just a small piece, which I did.
I used it as a stand for my girl stamp.  While I didn't go crazy, I accomplished the challenge, and that is what a challenge is all about.  Well, I am off to work I hope you have a great day and week.

I used the following stamps in today's project:
                             -I love my new dress
                             - Happy head appliances cube
                             - Raindrops

Bon Voyage

Guess what day it is......It's hump day....Happy Wednesday.  I love Wednesdays for a variety of reasons, 1st, it is the middle of the week, which means the weekend is just around the corner, 2nd, I have Thursdays off from work, and 3rd, Wednesdays are Stampotique Designers Challenge days. This weeks challenge is Hostess is Kathi Rerek and here is what she has to say:

"It's the summer here, which means it's the perfect time for a break from your everyday activities, like school or work! My challenge this week is Vacation and/or Travel!

There's a lot of latitude (pun intended) with this challenge! I can't wait to see what you all create!"

My card is not a vacation or travel, but a Bon Voyage.  I created this card using two of new new super fabs, waving spotted Monster, and for the speckled background behind him, I used Splatter Circle. Well, short post, but I am running late for work. I hope you have a great day and join us for this weeks challenge....

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Water

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you had a great weekend!  For the first time in a long time, we had a weekend with very little commitments.  We got to enjoy the weekend with friends and family, and a little time to just sit and relax....ahhhhh...It really was such a nice weekend.
So, Summer is upon us and here in New Hampshire it is officially hot (90's) and humid, and Peggy's challenge for this week couldn't be more appropriate. This weeks challenge is WATER.  We want to see your creations that are water themed.  I went with an old stamp that I got for 50 cents at a yard sale.  How cute is that little fish.  I made a simple card and purposely left the card blank, as I think I will use it for a kids birthday card. So, do you have any water themed projects that you want to share with us this week?????? I can't wait to see them.
Not a huge # of players for last weeks 4th of July challenge.  I guess that isn't a popular challenge. We will have to rethink that one next year, but the players we did have did a Fabulous job with their projects!  With that being said, the TOP 3 from last week are:

                                                                        Stephanie

                                                              The crafting professor

                                                                       Elizabeth
