Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge: Christmas in July!

Happy Tuesday!!!! I do love Tuesday. Wanna know why??? Because Tuesday's = Going Grey with Scrap-Creations. We had a fantastic turn out last week. I hope you all are enjoying the challenges as much as I am.

For my card today, I used a stamp that has been seriously neglected. I bought this Amuse stamp years ago, and never used it. But when I was looking for X-mas stamps, I knew I wanted to use this one. If I decide to make mass Christmas cards this year, I may make this card! What do you think?

But before we start with this week, let me tell you about last weeks Top 3. It is always so hard to pick just 3. Without further a do. The top 3 cards for last week are:

Happy Easter!!! Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake Inspiration

Happy Easter!!! Thank you for stopping by today. Wow, her in New Englad we are getting some grogeous weather. It has been high in the 70's and just perfect. The flowers are making their way out and the grass is getting greener by the day. It is so much better than the days of rain we have had in the past 2 weeks. Not sure if the rain here in New England made your local news, but we have been getting killed with rain. School have cancel because the roads have been so flooded, and the rivers are overflowing cause SERIOUS flooding to people homes and companies. Thankfully we weren't affected, but I feel bad for the people who have 6 inches of water in their basement. Yikes.....Sime of the site I saw on the news were terrible, but I know they are singing now with the sun and warm temps that have arrived .

I made my card today for Hope Stamps Eternals cupcake inspiration Challenge! As I have said before, when I look at a photo, I try to draw what pops at me at first sight. So what I saw, was a bunch of flowers in purple, pink, orangs, and green, and with today being Easter, I wanted to get one more Easter card in. So, that is what I did, I got this great egg template from Kristine Breach's blog, and I used the new Basic Grey Kioshi paper, and I bordered my image in with sweet blossom flowers (which is my new favorite embellishment), and viola, I have a quick yet cute easter card. I have to admit this was one of my quickest cards ever.

Hey, would you like to see what the DT did with this weeks inspiration Cupcakes? You can check the out here:

Whachadoin Wednesday challenge #37-Same but different

Happy Wednesday All. Are you have a WONDERFUL Wednesday? You know what Wednesday means..... Whachadoin Wednesday challenge with SU INK. The challenge today was to make 2 cards the same, same layout, same stamp, but different. It can be whatever you would like. So, when I made my cards for the challenge, I also incorporated MJ's sketch challenge. Woo Hoo, two challenges in one. Love it!!!

My first card was made using "Rain, Rain Go Away" by SU INK. I paper pieced he boys rain suit and colored the rest. I kinda like how the mud turned out in the puddle. Does it look like mud?

My second card, using same sketch different materials, was made using SU INK's "Welcome To The Zoo" set. When I made this card, I had a friend's baby in mind, so I went with that. I did end up using blue and yellow on both cards. This card ended up being more on the simple side than I am used to. I am not good at SIMPLE!

Well, that is it for today. I am have tickets to the RED SOX game tonight, but the weather is not looking to good. It poured all day yesterday, and was nice this morning, but now it is starting to get really dark. I sure do hope it holds out.

If you get a chance, hop on over to the SU INK blog and check out the rest of the sample from the design team. They are all so creative. Have a great Wednesday and pray for sun for me.

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: SU INK, and sentiment by AMUSE.
paper, SU cardstock, and Little yellow bicycle DP.
ink: memento black, copics
misc: brads and ribbon.

Ahhhh.....Spring (well, almost)

Good Afternoon.....It's Tuesday, the sun is shining, and I am starting to feel better(thank God)! Although it is still pretty chilly here (approx 45 degrees)I am starting to see signs of spring. The trees are forming buds, the tulips and Daffodils are sprouting, and the birds are chirping. It has been a REALLY long winter and I am going to embrace every single sign of spring with open arms. I can't wait to open the windows and pack away the winter coats. Oh, I can't wait!!!

Today's card was made for Mary Jo's lunchtime sketch challenge. Easter is approaching and I really want to use my New High Hopes bunnies, so I flipped the sketch to fit the bunny (rather large image). I am having a great time coloring these new High Hopes stamps.

I used some stickles on the ribbon for a little extra something, I also photographed it separately with hopes you could see it. For some reason sparkle doesn't show up so well in pictures or scans. I have found if you turn the card just right you can catch the right lighting and snap away. Can you see it??????

Don't forget that today is the last day of SU INKS& MORE sneak peeks. Head on over to their blog and check out the samples. They are FANTASTIC! All stamps will be available for purchase tomorrow. Have a great Day and Happy Crafting!!!!

Stamps: High Hopes, AMUSE sentiment

Bloggers challenge 92-texture/template

WOW, can you believe that it's Friday all ready. Today's challenge was to make something with texture or template. I chose to go with a template from Claire Brennan's blog. It's a mini Easter basket. Very simple to make. As you can see by the second picture, it is a VERY small basket. So cute though.

If you get a chance, check out the other projects made by the other bloggers challenge ladies. Have a wonderful weekend and happy creating!

Riley Snowman

Happy Sunday....ooopppsss... I missed posting yesterday, so I have posted 2 Riley snowman cards today. It's amazing how differnt a card can look when you use the same stamp. I sometimes get into the rut of thinking "I already used that stamp". Well, isn't that why we purchase a stamp, because we love it and want to use it (more than once)? So next time you are making a card and you are surrounded by scraps, go ahead and make a second card. Use that stamp and all your scraps. It some how lets me justify my purchases.

Supplies:
Stamps: riley, Amuse
paper: ? dp, SU cardstock
ink: Memento, copics, white pen
misc: scallop punches

Obama or McCain?

Okay, not the cutest card in the world, but very cute stamps. Recently I visited my favorite stamp store, and she was hosting a free make and take. It was hosted by Amuse, and they were cards for the troops. So I sat with my son and made a card for the troops with their new stamp set. Yep, had to have it. I don;t have anyone close to me in the military, but I love everything Americana. I just thought this was the cutest set ever. Bought it!
When I sat down to make a card with this set, I was stumped. So, I am really into the election this year so I thought "why not a political card". This is how it turned out. Quick and easy. Thanks for looking and don't forget to VOTE!

Halloween is soon approaching, and it just wouldn't be Halloween without Boris. As much as I love Boris (Amuse mad scientist), I may love my new Martha Stewart goo punch more (at least for now anyways). I then started stalking the mail lady. Yep, It came today, and I had to play. Even know I have homework and housework coming out my ears. I just had to play with my new punch. So, here is Boris with my punch.

Christmas in July

AMuse just came out with thier new Christmas stamps, and of course I had to purchase some. I made this card using one of their new Acrylic sets, and the deer is wood mounted. I also used some of their new paper. Really wierd making x-mas cards when it is 90 degrees out. I am hoping to play more....time will tell....
