Bloggers Challenge

Good Morning, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!! WOW, I can't believe it's already Friday. This week has Flown by. I am starting to have a mini Kristen panic attack with my semester starting on Monday, and the kids school starting on Tuesday. Although I am looking forward to getting back to some kind of regular schedule, I am not looking forward to putting my baby on the bus for the first time (about to cry just thinking about it).

You see, Abbey is going into third grade, so we have already done this with her for the last 2 years, but my son is going into the first grade and this will be the first year that he will be taking the bus as well as going full day, and when I say full day I mean ALL DAY. They get on the bus at 8:45 am, and don't get home until 4:00pm. That is such a long day. I am sad just thinking about the whole thing.

Well, onto my card.Friday = Bloggers challenge, and the challenge this week is a sketch challenge. I used a Magnolia image i received from my BF KDC
I really struggles making this card and I feel like I am in a HUGE creative slump. Everything I make lately looks like a novice made it. Do you ever feel like that? I sure do hope I hit my head on the creativity tree. I can't stand this.
Well, The kids are playing with some friends, and I am going to try to do laundry and make another card. I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend, and Happy creating!!!!!

Three Clovers Design Thursday!

Happy Thursday!!!! Today's card was made for 3CT. The challenge was a color challenge:Rose Red, So Saffron, Always artichoke. I believe I cheated a little, I didn't have always artichoke DP, so I used what I had. I have to say, I sat down to make this card at 10:30pm, and I had no clue what I was going to do. so I picked a image I wanted to play with, and I picked some paper and off I went. What do you think? What is your feeling on Magnolia images?

If you get a chance, hop on over to Kerry's blog and check out what the other DT members came up with. Then, head to your crafty space and join in on the fun. Have a Terrific Thursday and happy creating!

A Girl & Her Dog!

Did you have a Wonderful weekend? Mine was super busy, but I managed to take an hour to make a card. I am not typically a Tilda kind of girl, but I made this card for my BF Kerry. She is a amazing card maker and a great inspiration, and I wanted to wish her a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on making the Magnolia-licious design team. Well deserved my friend.

There are a ton of Magnolia images, but this is one of my favorite. Why you ask; first because the little girl reminds me of my daughter Abbey, and second, I love dogs and the girl with the puppy is so cute! Love it! Had a great time coloring this image. Practice makes perfect right!

Little tidbit of info: The gems in the corners were clear. I used my Copics to color them. Copics aren't just for paper, you can color your gems, your baubles, and anything else. They dry right up. Try it out!

I hope you have a great night, and happy creating!

Three clovers Thursday #5

It's Thursday and that means Three clovers Design Thursday challenge. Today's challenge was to use up the scraps. I don't know about you, but I have scrap paper coming out of my ears. As many of you know, I am a paper HOARDER! I love designer paper. The problem being that I will use a small amount and have a ton left over. I have started trying to put them in a bag with the thought that I will go back and use it. Honestly, I do sometimes go back for the scrap bag, but more times than most I will reach for a full sheet. So, I did go through my scraps for this card. I also was able to use a image I had colored a week ago with Kerry. SO this card was a very fast card.
Can you believe I Used a Magnolia AGAIN? That was the last of my images, so no more Tilda's. I do have a fun time coloring them, but I still can't get past the fact that they have no mouth. Where's the mouth??????? If you would like to participate in Kerry's challenge head on over and link up with mr. Linky! I hope you all had a Terrific Tuesday and we are looking forward to a Fantastic Friday!

I just wanted to share with you that Twilight will be released on DVD Saturday at 12:01am. I am still trying to decided if I will be heading to Walmart at midnight, or wait until sat morning. I do know one thing, I am SOOOO excited and I can't wait to watch it again. Any other Twilight die hard out there?

Supplies
Stamps: Magnolia

Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #60 & weekend happenings

Happy Monday! Today's card was made for MaryJo's Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge. I have to admit that the sketch was intimidating to look at, but once I started working on my card, it was not bad. Friday my friends Kerry and Pia came over and we did some stamping and talking. More talking than stamping, but I did get a chance to stamp some of Kerry's Magnolia stamps. If you know Kerry, you know she is a HUGE fan of Magnolia's. I on the other hand think they are just okay. I mean, I like the looks of them and I am often in Ahhh at the cards I see people make, but they just aren't "me". So, this challenge is more than one. I personally challenged myself to use the Magnolia stamp that I colored. I think my card came out okay, not great no terrible just OKAY! I did stamp a few, so I may try again. We'll see.....

How are you all making out with the time change? Well, everyone in my house went to bed at their regular time, but not me, I kept looking at the clock thinking it's "really" only 11:00pm, "I still have time". So much for that, I over slept and both kids were late for school. Not only that , but I woke up to MORE snow. This winter has been unbelievable. We have had more snow than you can imagine. It wouldn't seem so bad if yesterday wasn't 60 degrees and everyone was without coats for the first time in months. I am starting to feel like I live in a frozen tundra!

I also wanted to share one more thing with you today. My church has a competition level basketball and cheerleading squad, and this year is my daughter Abbey's first year on the cheering squad. Abbey cheers in the beginners level, which means they don't actually compete, they are just starting out. Well, they got invited to Saturdays Cheerleading competition to do their routine, and OMG were they so cute. The ages range from 5-9 and you can only image how sweet they were. When it was time to announce the teams scores, Abbey's squad got called up and they gave them all medals. Agian, so cute. So, as a proud mom, I had to share some photos.

I hope you all have a Marvelous Monday, and if you get a chance pop over to MJ's blog and play along!

Supplies:Paper Basic grey, Stamps: Magnolia, and sentiment CTMH. Ink: Memento black, and copics. Misc: Marvy punches, and white pen, and Kaiser pearls.

Girls scrap weekend away

This weekend My friends and I headed to Vermont for a "scrapper's" weekend away. We stayed in the Quail Hollow Inn in Chester VT. This was my first time away from my family and my first time staying in a bed & breakfast. The whole weekend was fantastic. The Inn was Fab. The food was to die for, the rooms were comfy, and the company was wonderful. I couldn't have had a better time. I can't wait to go back.
As you can see my Van was packed with Pia, Kerry and my crap. Out of all the bags that you see, only 3 small bags were clothes, and the rest was stamps, paper, ink and so on. What could better than a weekend away with friends scrapbooking? A good time had by all.........

The picture to the right is a card I made for Peter and Bob (the Inn Keepers at Quail Hollow Inn). They were the most wonderful host I have ever. The cooked, the catered, and the were just down right fantastic.
The reason I made the card with two dogs is, they have 2 dogs and one of them was a rescue from hurricane Katrina. So, I hope they liked the card. The stamps are from Magnolia.
While away I made 11 cards. I will be posting every day for the next 2 weeks (I hope). Stay tuned
