Bloggers Challenge 86-Valentines Day & Injury

Happy Friday everyone! You know what Friday means....Bloggers Challenge. This weeks challenge was simple, VALENTINES DAY. So, today's card is my last Valentines card for the year. What better set to use to make a valentines Day card than "Will You Be My Valentine" by SUINK! I completely love making cards with this little boy and girl. I also think they would make a great card for other occasions, like Easter. They could each hold a egg. I will have to try that.

Anyways, I used some new (to me) DP paper from Basic Grey. I paper pieced the Girls dress and the boys shirt to match the card. I love the look pf paper piecing. How about you?

So, quick story about making this card. I started this card yesterday and finished it this morning. All it needed was the brads.( SIDE NOTE: under my crafting table is a huge box filled with my SU stamps.) so, when I sat down this morning to finish my card, as I was working, I moved my foot forward and felt a stabbing pain in my toe. Well, I dropped the phone (I was talking to KDC), and looked at my toe, and saw that it was gushing blood. Well, I had moved my foot along the carpet, and on the carpet was one of my blades from my rotary cutter (had no idea it was there). When I moved my foot, it pushed the blade in to the box, and the opposite end into my toe. OUCH!!! I let Kerry go (obviously) and took a better look at my toe. Yep, I thought it needed stitches and off to the ER I went. Try explaining to the DR that you sliced your toe open making a card. It even sound ridiculous as I was saying it. AT one point I even heard a nurse say" I don't know, you cut her toe scrapbooking or something". Good Grief! Well, I came out of the ER with 5 stitches across my big toe. Who said stamping wasn't a sport (Hehehe). Well, that is enough of me blabbing. I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday and a Very Happy Valentines Day. Any big plans?

  39. OMG...I can't believe you actually cut your toe while card making! I find making cards very painful but that's because I have no creativity lol. Hope you feel better soon - you should go shopping and get yourself a nice booboo prize. That's what I always did with my boys when they had to go the doctors and it made them feel better every time:)
Just love your cute card and the colors you used.

  41. Owie, owie, owie!!! Yup, stamping is a full body contact sport! I hope your foot is feeling better by the time you read this. The card is adorable. It's definitely better than 5 stitches. No more of that, okay?
