Whachadoin Wednesday with SU INK & MORE & BLOG CANDY!

Happy Wednesday all, and yes, it is a happy Wednesday here in New Hampshire. The sun is shining for the first day in almost a week, and I am thrilled. It's amazing how much the weather can affect your mood.

The card I made today is for SU INK & More's Whachadoin Wednesday challenge. The challenge today is a color challenge: BLACK & BLUE! I will admit when I first saw this I was panicking. These colors are tough for me, but once I sat, I decided to go with a sample Dad's Day card. I used one of SU INK's great new sets "thinking of Father". This is a simple card, but cute. Especially for a child to give to their dad.

Have you seen the new SU INK's release? In my opinion, they are the best sets yet. I LOVE THEM ALL!!!! SO, to celebrate the new Junes releases, Denise (the owner of SU INK) gave each DT member a set to give away for blog candy.

Here is the set I am giving away. Shiver Me Timbers.

So....here's what you have to do to play...Head on over to SU INK take a look at the 5 new sets, and comeback and leave me a comment with the name of your favorite and why. When all said and done, I will share with you my favorite. I will pick a winner on Sunday. Good luck!

The Ocean commotion. I can see many possibilities with this set and it can be used for a guy's card as well as a girl's card. :)

Kristen, this card is awesome! Of course I'm partial to blue and I love black with anything.

I actually love the Owl set, they are just too cute but Ocean Commotion set will be my favorite soon I'm sure, I love the little lips on all the ocean creatures ;-)

That is so cute, Kristen!

Tough choice here - I'll have to say Ocean Commotion. The first choice was the You're a Hoot set but I have an owl set. They're all cute!

Glad you got to stamp on this gorgeous day.

Your card is fabulous Kristen! I like all of the sets but I think Ocean Commotion is adorable. Although the Thinking of Father is a fitting one for right now!!

Kristen, I love them ALL, actually. But if I HAD to choose, I'd choose this one - Shiver Me Timbers! Why? Because 1) September 19th is "Talk Like a Pirate Day" and is a day our family looks forward to all the time so we can "Argggh!" each other all day (and other days too). And because it's different from anything I have. I MUST have this one!!! Oh yeah, extremely cute card too!

ummm, they are all so cute
I am going to have to go with Shiver Me Timbers, just because I have not seen a set as complete as that.
Thanks for the fun!

Hi Kristen!! Wow, you are so talented. It may be a simple card, but it totally rocks. I love it. The crown is really cool. As for my favorite stamp set...it's a toss up between your pirates and the Give a Hoot owl set. Love them both. Thanks for giving me a chance to win some yummy stamps. Hugs sistah!! Leslie
