Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #56 & some info!!!

Happy Sunday!!! What a great weekend it has been. Friday Night I went out to dinner with my family and Saturday we did some yard work and the kids played outside ALL DAY, and then Hubby & I watched a movie and today I am headed to a all day stamping event with friends. Hopefully, I will do more stamping than talking :). The weather here in New England has been FABULOUS...I love the first signs of spring, The lilacs are blooming, the grass is getting greener, the kids are riding their bikes, and there is nothing better than sitting on my deck just taking it all in .....ahhhh.....

So, onto my card (hehehe)... todays
card was inspired by the cupcake pic to the right. You may be thinking "really Kristen, your card looks nothing like that", and you're right, it doesn't, but as I have said in past post, it is a "inpiration photo", not a copy picture (hehehe). So, what did I draw from this pic? The pink (I went bright), the brown drizzle (I made her hair brown), and the polka dots on the candle (I used polka dotted paper). As you see, sometimes I will use the whole photo, and sometimes I will draw inspiration from parts of the photo. That is what makes inspiration challenges FUN!
For my card, I used The Greeting Farm, WS Ruby, and some left over scrap paper. I am trying REAL hard to use what I have and that means scraps! I also used my new butterfly punch from Martha Stewart!!!

Ok, I said I had a cupcake challenge and SOME INFO. Well, It is with a heavy heart that I announce that the Hope Stamps Eternal store is closing. Unfortunately, another victim of the economy's downturn. But before the doors close, there will be a storewide sale of 35% while supplies last. The store is full of amazing items, so head over there fast!

Going Grey Challenge #7-Use 3 embellishments

Happy Tuesday......Hopefully you all had a fabulous weekend. I can't believe that this is our 7th challenge here at Scrap-Creations. You know what they say "Time flies when you're having fun", and it really has been fun. Thank you so much for everyone who plays with us.

This weeks weeks challenge is to use 3 embellishments. Not bad right. I used 2 different flowers and some gems. Do you love my image?????? It is image from Stamp N Plus Scrap N. It is a very different image for me, but I enjoyed playing with it. This image looks a little country to me, so when I was making my card I was trying to come up with some country looking paper and in the mist of trying to do that, I completely forgot to use the basis of my challenge BASIC GREY PAPER (arghhh....). I am losing it I swear. I also combined my challenge with the following.

Critter Sketch Challenge- use 10 different items in your project. I used 4 different pieces of DP, 2 different colors of card stock, 2 different colored roses, gems, and stickles.

Friday Sketchers Challenge: I used their sketch

Guess what....This weeks challenged is a prize challenge. This weeks prize is being sponsored by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. LuAnn, the owner, has generously donated some unmounted stamps to give away to one lucky winner of the challenge this week.

So, what see what the amazing DT came up with for this weeks challenge........

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #55

Happy Sunday!!!! Are you enjoying your weekend? I am happy to say, I have finally had a weekend with very little commitments.

So, Sunday's=Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge
. Check out these gorgeous cupcakes. Of course when i first saw them, I immediately thought "Orange and brown and gorgeous flowers". Well, as I have said before, I don't really do "pretty" or "gorgeous", I do "cute". So, needless to say, I did "cute".. You see, I had no choice, I just purchased some new Greeting Farm stamps and they where begging to be inked, so that's what I did. I am actually very happy that we used these colors today, because I don't often reach for my Basic Grey Arachic 6x6 pad, but the combination of colors and stamp screamed for this paper. I kinda like how it turned out. What do you think? As you may know, I am abig fan of the Greeting Farm stamps. They are just so fun to color. I also followed this weeks sKetch for you to try.
Are you in need of some supplies???? Hope Stamps Eternal is having a SALE!!!! 25% off you entire purchase. Get it while you can......

Do these cupcakes inspire you??? Come play along with the DT and me. We would love to see what you create. If you do, be sure to link your creation to Mr. Linky on the HSE Blog and use CIC55 when uploading to online galleries . Every week, Rachel highlights the top 5!!

Happy Easter!!! Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake Inspiration

Happy Easter!!! Thank you for stopping by today. Wow, her in New Englad we are getting some grogeous weather. It has been high in the 70's and just perfect. The flowers are making their way out and the grass is getting greener by the day. It is so much better than the days of rain we have had in the past 2 weeks. Not sure if the rain here in New England made your local news, but we have been getting killed with rain. School have cancel because the roads have been so flooded, and the rivers are overflowing cause SERIOUS flooding to people homes and companies. Thankfully we weren't affected, but I feel bad for the people who have 6 inches of water in their basement. Yikes.....Sime of the site I saw on the news were terrible, but I know they are singing now with the sun and warm temps that have arrived .

I made my card today for Hope Stamps Eternals cupcake inspiration Challenge! As I have said before, when I look at a photo, I try to draw what pops at me at first sight. So what I saw, was a bunch of flowers in purple, pink, orangs, and green, and with today being Easter, I wanted to get one more Easter card in. So, that is what I did, I got this great egg template from Kristine Breach's blog, and I used the new Basic Grey Kioshi paper, and I bordered my image in with sweet blossom flowers (which is my new favorite embellishment), and viola, I have a quick yet cute easter card. I have to admit this was one of my quickest cards ever.
