Three Clover Thursday challenge: x-mas in July

Happy Thursday!!!!! The weekend is only a short time away. We are supposed to be rained out on Sat, but a great weather day on Sunday. We are hoping to do some boating with my parents, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for great weather.

Today's challenge is Christmas in July. Well, I love to make Christmas cards, but I have to admit that I really struggled making this card. I had gone to the beach for the day, came home with a pretty good sun burn, and I just wasn't feeling the whole Christmas theme. I actually sat in my craft room at 8:30, but didn't make a card until 11:30. I could;t decided what paper I wanted to use, I couldn't find the stamp I wanted to use (due to the complete mess on my desk), so finally I decided to go simple. Not my best card, but it is Christmas in July! Right?

So, speaking of messes, I thought I would be brave and share a quick pic of my absolutely mess of a desk. Get ready to be scared:

Good grief, I have to spend some time and get that space cleaned up.

So, are you feeling a little like Christmas? The challenge team over at 3 Clovers would love for you to join us, and we can't wait to see what you come up with. So, if you get a chance, come play along. Happy Thursday and Happy creating!

Well this turned out fabulous! LOVE that cute penguin, and the snowflakes! Is that a snowflake punch? Oh duh...I should go read your recipe, LOL! I've gotta get me a snowflake punch. :) Ya, it was in the 90's here today...too toasty for me! I could use a winter card right about now.

The card is so cute! I love the penguin stamp and pretty Christmas papers!
My table looks the same way after creating a card; it takes me longer to clean it up than putting the card together! :)
Hope the weather will be great!

This has just got to be the cutest little penguin ever! Your mental Christmas card block sure cleared up...I love the bright colors on this card! Your stampin' space looks like mine...I really think that is the norm...at least it is for me...if someone would just file all my cardstock I would be ever so grateful!

Kristen you made a gorgeous Xmas card. Love the whippersnapper stamps and you made it look even more adorable.

Kristen, I also love the Christmas Penquin card. On to your desk. Thanks for being brave enough to snap a picture, but find comfort in the fact that all our desks look like that. When I finish a project, I notice I have like a six inch square space to lay the finished card!! I wonder what it is.....your space looks very easy to straighten up to me....and I bet you could fix mine up easily too. Then there is the poster that wants all her cardstock filed away. I volunteer! It must be the fact that all your "stuff" is "new" to me, and translates to "fun". Is this making any sense at all? Anyway, I'll be right over to help you as soon as I get that ladies CS filed for her!! Linda S. in NE
