Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Food & Prize!

Happy Tuesday!!!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  The weather here in New England has been gorgeous...Typical fall weather: cool, sunny and gorgeous.....The type of weather us New Englanders LOVE.....I wish I could tell you that I went apple picking, or to one of our local farms for some autumn goodness, but I didn't.  We did some catching up on the house chores, shopping and of course I managed to get in a little crafty time (which makes me a happy girl).  Maybe this weekend I can manage some fall fun!
This week we have a super fun challenge for you....This week, we want to see your FOOD projects.  For this challenge, I used this sweet image from The Digi Garden. This card would also be great with a Thanksgiving saying on .
With all this fabulous fall weather (which I LOVE), I am in the mood to give away a prize this week.....BUT....You are going to have to work for it....As I have mentioned, I LOVE the fall, and I love everything about it, but what I Love best is pumpkin picking with the kids...I love that they search for their perfect pumpkin. It just creates so many memories every year, as well as a ton of laughs. So, if you would like to play in the prize portion of this challenge, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite fall activity is and why.....The prize is a secret (but will be worth it).
WOW....so glad I wasn't the one that had to pick last weeks TOP 3....WOWZERS...the creations were amazing!!!!  Peggy picked this weeks Top 3 and said:

                                                                           Mervi:
" Great embossed framing of the scene.  It really makes the image pop."

Rachelle:
"The coloring on this card is beautiful.  The woman looks beautiful".

Sue:
"The color combo on this card is great. Really catches your eye."

My favourite fall activity is going to Abby Lane Farm, where we have a fun , horse drawn hayride, watch the giant pumpkin catapault shoot the overripe pumpkins high in the air and then splat them on the ground, and choosing our own pumpkins in the giant pumpkin patch!!

Here in the Uk we don't really have many traditions at Autumn but it is my favourite season of the year with the most beautiful colours around and watching the wildlife prepare for winter. I have three squirrels who are very busy at work!

I have a couple fav Autumn things to do: one is to go to the annual Greek Festival, go to the homeowners association Octoberfest, going to the Dallas Arboretum to see the Fall tree & plant colors and pumpkins in the gardens, and the pumpkin my hubby carves and he uses a styrofoam pumpkin and I light it up with a battery operated light and do not have to dispose of it.

My fave fall activity is just taking my daily walks and watch the trees change colours--love those autumn colours. Probably take my camera along and snap a few shots here and there.
Hugs,
Norma

My favorite activity is my birthday...I was born on Thanksgiving!
It doesn't always fall on the holiday, but when it does it's so much fun.

Miss the colors in FL though...anyway, Autumn is the BEST! Thanks for the challenge,

Hugs,
Bev

My favorite fall activity is going for an evening hayride. The crisp temperatures and time with good friends is a win-win in my book. Fall is my favorite season.

As I said on my post, apple picking in the fall is a happy childhood memory of mine. I did it with my parents when I was a child and took my own kids several times over the years. I still live close enough to go apple picking in the fall but my haul is much smaller these years since I now live alone.
