Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge: Spring Has Sprung!

Happy Tuesday and Happy Spring! I hope you all had a fabulous 1st day of spring with warm weather! You see, here in New Hampshire, we celebrated this forst day of spring with a snow storm...blahhhh...Not a bad one, but enough to make you go haaa...not again. We have had more snow this year, than any other year I can remember. I still have a good amount of snow in my yard. I long for the days for sun, warm weather, and flowers blooming. You know what they say, all good come to those who wait, and wait we shall do!

So, how cute is this image....Ahhh..I LOVE it! I saw this image a few weeks ago when Stampavie released it, and as soon as I saw it, I ordered it!!! This was a definate have to have stamp for me. Not only does this stamp make a great Easter, and spring card, but I think it would make a great "Hey Chickie" card as well. So, this won't be the last of this stamp you will see LOL! Not only did I make this card for this weeks challenge, but I also used the sketch from Color me Creative Classroom's big birthday bash! Congrats Suzanne on a great year!

So with my chickie card staring at you, it may give you a little indicator of this weeks challenge: This weeks challenge is SPRING HAS SPRUNG! We have another fabulous sponsor this week:One Stop Card Crafts, and they are offering a GC to their store, to one lucky winner!

Going Grey Challenge #1.......Wahoooooo

Oh my word, I am SOOO excited.....Today is the day of my first Challenge. My DT team and myself are so excited about this journey we are about to embark on.
So, let me tell you how the "Going Grey challenge" at Scrap-Creations works. Every Tuesday I will post a challenge with some sort of theme (sketch, color, holiday, etc...), but the one thing that will always remain the same, is the Designer Paper. In order to play in the challenges, you will always have to use Basic Grey Designer paper. Why Basic Grey, because I am a BG addict of course (hehehe). I love Basic Grey paper and I hope you do too.
With today being the first challenge, I decided that it should be a PRIZE challenge. Rachel from Hope Stamps Eternal has graciously offered to sponsor our prize this week. What's the prize you ask????? Well, Basic Grey paper of course. one random winner will win 1 pack of Kioshi, and 1 pack of Green at heart. Both packs are newly released.
So, what is this weeks challenge???? Celebration of course. We are celebrating our new challenge group and we hope to celebrate with you. All you have to do is create your card and link your card to "mr. Linky" at the bottom of this post. You will have until Monday at 6pm est time to upload your card. I will announce the winner on the following Tuesday.
For my card today, I used one of my new Stampavie stamps (which I am loving), and I used the Basic Grey Cupcake paper. I went with the celebration challenge, and viola we have a challenge here :)

I also wanted to introduce you to a amazing group of ladies that I have asked to be a part of my Challenge inspiration team. Each of these ladies is truly talented. Take a peek at what they came up with for this weeks challenge.

Sunday, March 7, 2010

Happpppyyyyy Sunday......I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, I know I did. Saturday my son had his first Tae Kwon Do tournament and did AWESOME, and then after the tournament I spent the whole day with my stamping buddies and stamped away (even know I was there 7 1/2 hours and only made 2 cards). It's always nice to spend time my girls, and Today (as I am writing this) we are off to a full day of jumping, flipping and flying at my daughters gymnastics meet. All in all It has been a great weekend. What did you do? anything special?

Well, it's Sunday and Sundays mean Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge. Today's inspiration cupcake (pic to your right) has the reds, blues, flowers, and that is somewhat of what I went with. For my card today, I used the new Devonshire 6x6 dp by KaiserCraft,
and I used my new Peggy Johnson Stampavie stamp and made this very sweet card. I have to say, I am in love with the Kaisercraft paper and the Stampavie stamps. Both are gorgeous. You know what's great, my card also qualifies for the Stampavie Spring challenge....Wahooooo....

We would love for you to join us, and if you need some inspiration, you can check out the amazing cards by the DT here.
Well, I am off for a fun filled day at the Gym meet, so Have a wonderful day and happy Creating.
