Hope stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge!

Happy Sunday evening! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I thankful had the weekend off from work, and jam packed my weekend with goodness....Saturday I attended the Heirloom stamp show in Springfield Mass with Mary, Peggy and our friend Pia. We had a great time. I went to the show with $100.00 budget, well....The first booth I went to was Motivet, and dropped $48.00, and then I headed to Rubbernecker and dropped another 25.00, and then I went to a booth that sold the new basic Grey, and yep, you guessed it, I bought 3 packs of that at 6.00 each, and then I bought 3 packs of Primas......There went my $100.00, and I still REALLY wanted to buy the Zutter that was there, but I didn't want to go over my budget. Oh well, what I did buy, you can see here:

So, my card today was made for Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Challenge. The inspiration photo

Happy Tuesday....Did you have a good Memorial Day weekend? Did you do anything special? Here in New England, Memorial Day weekend is often thought as the unofficial kickoff of summer. It is usually the first weekend people open their pools and the first "real" safe weekend for planting your vegetables. Also, if didn't go away (usually camping),this weekend, you were probably at having at a cookout or BBQ . I have to say, I do love the first signs of summer, and although we did not go away, we were lucky enough to have a cookout and spend some quality time with friends and family.

Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake challenge

Happy Sunday. I hope you are having a fabulous holiday weekend. I am sad to say that I have worked most of the weekend, but on a happier note, this is my LAST full weekend with Gymboree.......I can't wait to have the whole summer OFF! What will I do with myself.....LOTS!

Today's card was made for Hope Stamps Eternals Cupcake challenge. No, if you are not familar with HSE, this would be the time to check out her store. She is in her last weekend of business, and ALL her merchandise is 50% off. She even has copics and the new cuttlebug folders.....but you have to hurry, these will not last.

Today's challenge was inspired by these gorgeous cupcakes (YUMMY). As always, when I look at an inspiration picture, I pick out things that stand out to me. In this pic, I see Brown, yellow, flowers, and gems. So I picked a image that I wanted to use and incorporated all these things into my card. This card that I made also has a very important purpose. I made this card for Bella Tucker.
Bella Tucker is an 8-year-old girl who attends South School Elementary in Londonderry, New Hampshire and is a member of the Phantom Gymnastics team. Bella came down with a near fatal infection on Easter Sunday. Doctors gave little hope for this third graders’ survival, but after five days in a coma she miraculously survived Streptococcus Pneumonia Sepsis with DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation).

Unfortunately, her survival from this infection was not without significant cost. The infection caused extensive tissue damage, and on April 27, 2010, Bella underwent quadruple amputation surgery and is currently facing an extremely long and hard recovery at Children’s Hospital in Boston with extensive rehabilitation to follow, as she learns to live life without her limbs.

Fortunately, Bella has the love and support of her three older brothers and younger sister during these trying times. The family is suddenly faced with significant challenges, many of which can be eased with financial help. For example, their home in Londonderry, New Hampshire will need extensive modifications to accommodate a wheelchair. Bella's mother, who is also her primary insurance holder, must be by her side during the extensive rehabilitation process and therefore she will be unable to work, causing the family to lose significant income. Since her mother will be with her during this process, the family needs funds for daycare of their other children. Lastly, she will be faced with medical challenges for the rest of her life. Althogh, I don't personally know Bella, she is in the same Gymnastics circut as my daughter, as well as the same age. I will be having a card drive for her on my blog hopefully next week, and I will be giving away some Fab blog candy.

Well, I must head to work, we would love to have you play along this week! Make sure to add a direct link to your NEW creation on Mr Linky below by Saturday, June5th at 9 pm MT.

How cute is this stamp???? Oh my word, I just love this stamp set from The Greeting Farm. This little grandma is just adorable. For my card today, I used Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake inspiration photo as my inspiration piece. Happy Friday. Can you believe I got a card posted in the middle of the week? Now that it has been a week since school is out, I am starting to settle into my new life as a calm person (hehehe).....Actually, it has been really wierd without all the craziness. If life has settled down enough, I gave my notice at my job, and I will be taking the summer off to spend with my family, before I start nursing school in the fall.

So, moving onto my card today. My friend Peggy, was so sweet to stamp me some Sugar Nellie Images and this has been the first time I have played with them. I think she is just soooo cute. I also just got this new Delovely Cosmo Cricket DP from HSE where everything is on sale for 45% off.........

I don't know if this hppens to you, but I am in a bit of a embellishments rut right now. I feel like all my cards are looking the same, and I comtinue to use the Prima flowers. Any suggestions? Does this happen to you?

Well, my card qualifies for the following challenges:

Friday Sketchers: Follow their sketch

So, what do we have for you today. Well, we have a fabulous sponsor for this weeks challenge. GlitterBabe Greetings is offering few of her Free imges to one random player this week. If you are wondering, GlitterBabe Greetings was so sweet and offered the DT a image of their choice to use for todays challenge.

Today's Challenge being : Child Theme

For my card today I used this little girl image from GlitterBabe, and I used this weeks layout out from Saturday Sketchers. Prairie Fairy Fridays - Flowers I almost always use flowers in mt cards

Something Completely Different - Flowers - Yes it is the time of year for flowers!!! Can't wait to plant mine.

I also wanted to share a little something I received in the mail the other day:

A whole bunch of my Japanese friends came. I was so excited to get them. I have been pretty desperate for refills, and I had got a GC for Dick Blick for my b-day, so this would be my purchase. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!

Wanna see what the amazing DT came up with for this weeks Child theme challenge using Glitter Babe images??? Feast your eyes on the beautys.
