For my card today, I went with bright DP from We R Memories, and I used another one of me new Greeting Farm images. Oh my word, as I am sitting here typing this blog post, I realized that I didn't use Basic Grey paper. Darn it. I only slept 4 hours the night before and I obviously wasn't thinking. Darn. It is to late for me to remake my card (midnight), so please excuse my mix up.

Pink Cat New Release

Happy Monday and thanks for stopping by on this glorious day. It's a big day over at Pink Cat Studios today. They are releasing 10 new Easter digi stamps, and they are all so cute.

On my card here, I used Lily & Chicks Paint an Egg. Isn't this image so cute. What a great card for a little girl on Easter. I broke out another sheet of We R Memories paper and I have to tell you, I am loving that they have 4 different squares of DP all on 1 12x12 sheet. No paper waste. I also used the Fridays Sketchers for my card layout.

Well, that is all for me today. If you get a chance, you should head on over to the PCS blog and check out what the Design team and some additional guest designers came up with for today's new release.
Also, make sure you check out tomorrows Going Grey with Scrap Creations challenge. We would love for you to join us! Have a great day!!!!

It's a Cupcake Inspiration Sunday!!!!

Happy Sunday. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed your weekend. The weather here in New Hampshire has been wonderful, 70's which for us is FABULOUS! You know you're in New England when the weather hits 60 degrees and people break out their shorts and flip flops (seriously). Hehehe....

So, it's Sunday and Sundays mean cupcakes.....Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake inspiration challenge that is. You're probably looking at the cupcake wondering what in the world did she inspire from these gorgeous cupcakes. Well, I used to go into a inspiration challenge and panic. I would look at the picture and think I don't have anything that looks like "that". Well, it wasn't until recently that I have finally decided that it is a "inspiration" picture. I need to draw inspiration and not "copy" the pic. Since then , I know longer panic about these kind of challenges.

You see, when I first looked at these cupcakes, I thought "these are gorgeous, and very elegant". Well, I don't do elegant, I do "cute". Do you know what I mean? We all have our different styles and I would definitely consider myself a "cutesy" card maker. So when I made my card, I picked out the turquoise in the butterflies and decided I would go with some kind of springy themed card. I also just bought a few new stamps, and wanted to use my new Laurie the skunk stamp. I also wanted to combine my card with this weeks Greeting Farm Sketch Challenge, so I worked my card around that as well.

We would love to have you play along this week! Make sure to add a direct link to your NEW creation on Mr Linky at Hope Stamps Eternal by Saturday, March 27th at 9 pm MT. If you upload to a public gallery like SCS or PCP make sure to use keyword CIC51 so we can easily find you. Remember, no cupcake stamps are required!
Don't forget to check out all of the Sweeties creations!

Pink Cat Studio: A Ride for Two

Happy Thursday.....For once, I am sad to see the week coming to an end. I have been on Spring break from school this week and I haven't really worked to much, and I have been pretty productive as far as card making goes. It has been a GREAT week. I am sorry to see it coming to an end.
So it's Thursday and Thursday here at Scrap-Creations = Pink Cat Studio Digi release day. There are 3 new images today. I used the Lilly and Billy bike for two.
I used my new paper by Cosmo Cricket, and I have to say, I don't think there is a sheet of paper in that paper pack that I would use. Fabulous paper!
I also used the sketch challenge over at KLSNS . Again, here is my attempt at trying to multitask with the challenges at hand. I do like when I can get them to work.

Well, That is all for me today. If you get a chance, check out the amazing cards done by Pink Cat Studio DT for today's release. They girls are super talented and always have amazing cards! Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Happy St. Patricks Day!!!

Happy St. Patricks Day

So, I have no cards to share with you today, but I do have a cute & funny story to share with you. You see, my kids think St. Patricks day is a national holiday (they wanted to know why they had school today). They think St. Patricks Day is all about leprechauns. Yep, that's right, even though I have tried to explain that there is no such thing as leprechauns, they continue to believe. Their school has convinced them that the leprechauns come to the school and cause a ruckus and then leaves treats. So, for the past 2 years, on the night before St. Paddy's Day, they come up with some kind of trap hoping to catch a leprechaun. Then while they are sleeping, the leprechaun (me) comes and leaves then gold coin candies, and some quarters.

Well, this year, they set their traps, and colored some pictures to leave for the leprechauns, with hopes that if they didn't catch the leprechauns, at least the would butter up the leprechauns with some colored pics, with hopes of MORE candy and cash.

Well, at 4am this more, my son woke us up to let us know that the leprechauns came and what they left, but they didn't fall for the trap. He also tried to wake up his sister (Argh)......needless to say, we have all been up since then, but the kids were thrilled and we are EXHAUSTED!!!!! So, I hope you all have a FABULOUS St.Paddy's day!!!!

History of St. Patrick (which I will be telling my kids :)

Saint Patrick was born to Catholic parents about 385 in Britain. His father was a nobleman and a deacon. But Saint Patrick's privileged life came to an end at age 16 when he was captured by slave raiders from Ireland. With a large group of prisoners, Saint Patrick was transported to the then pagan island.
Sold as a slave to a king in the northeast, Saint Patrick had the lonely task of tending the pigs and sheep. In the midst of these harsh living conditions, Patrick's faith flourished as he turned to God in prayer.

After being held captive for six years, Saint Patrick heard a voice in his sleep say, "Soon you will go back to your homeland." A short time later, he heard the same voice say, "Your ship is ready."

Trusting in God, Saint Patrick set out on a 200-mile journey through unknown territory. When he arrived at the ship, the captain at first refused to take him. But Patrick prayed to God for help, and the captain changed his mind. Then began a lifetime of dedicating his life to becoming a priest. He envisioned returning to Ireland to teach the Irish about Christianity.

During his 30 years in Ireland, Saint Patrick founded more than 300 churches and baptized more than 120,000 people. Yet he still encountered much opposition, "Daily I expect either murder, robbery, or enslavement," he wrote in his Confessions. He escaped from 12 attempts on his life. Saint Patrick died a natural death on March 17, 461.

By the end of the 7th century, many legends had developed about Saint Patrick. One, of course, says he charmed all the snakes in Ireland and led them to the sea to drown. Another, probably the most popular, is that Saint Patrick used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity to unbelievers. This is probably why shamrocks, now Ireland's national flower, are worn by the Irish on St Patrick's Day.

It's a Irish Cupcake Kinda Day!

Happy Sunday. Thanks for stopping by today on this glorious day....well, not so glorious here, as it has been pouring the whole weekend, but it does make good crafting weather though :)

Today is Sunday and Sundays here at Scrap-creations = Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake inspiration challenge. Today's cupcake comes courtesy of Martha Stewart living.

When I first saw the Cupcake, I immediately thought of Saint Paddy's day, but I also wanted my card to work for this challenge, as well as this weeks Greeting farm challenge, and another card for this weeks challenge at "Going Grey" with Scrap-Creations. which are all Birthday/celebration themes. So, I broke out my Origins Basic Grey paper pack, and paper pieced Ian to look a little "Irish". I am not sure I got what I was looking for, but I think he looks darling in his "get up". If you read my blog regularly, you know that I wasn't much of a fan for this Basic Grey Origins paper pack, but I have to say, I think it may be one of my favorite. The more I use it the more I love it.

SO: my question for you................which basic Grey paper pack is your LEAST favorite and WHY?

We have some big news over at Hope Stamps Eternal. We have a new sweetie....I am delighted to introduce you to Karen Giron. She is extremely talented, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our team. Welcome Karen.

We would love to have you play along this week! Make sure to add a direct link to
your NEW creation on Mr Linky at Hope Stamps Eternal by Saturday, March 20th at 9 pm MT. If you upload to a public gallery like SCS or PCP make sure to use keyword CIC50 so we can easily find you. Remember, no cupcake stamps are required! Rachel will post the Top 5 next Sunday.

Bloggers Challenge: Happy Birthday

Happy Friday.....Did you have a good week? Well I am thrilled it's Friday, cause I had a very stressful week. I had a HUGE microbiology midterm, and I was freakin out about it, but happy it's over and happy I did fairly well.

If you follow my blog, you know I try to participate in Bloggers challenge of Fridays, and today that is exactly what I am doing.....Today's theme for Bloggers challenge is Birthday, and there are some very special Bloggers challenge players B-day this month, that I would love to say Happy Birthday to Lisa & Gerrie. I had the chance to meet these to wonderful ladies at winter CHA....Happy B-day ladies, I hope you have a great day!!!!!!
For my card today, I used one this weeks Pink Cat Studio's new digi released images. I paper pieced my Girl with the star to match my background paper, and I added some stickles for a little something. Of course I feel like this card is lacking something (prob cause i didn't use flowers, hehehe), but I think it would be fine for a little kids b-day card......What do you think?
Well, that is all for me today, I am hoping to get a few cards done this weekend, but for sure I will be posting Hope Stamps Eternal cupcake challenge on Sunday, so stay tuned..... Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a Fabulous weekend (don't forget to change your clocks forward). Happy creating!
