Such sweetness!!!!

Happy Monday.....another start to another week. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I am still dealing with a terrible chest cold, in which I am hoping to get a Dr. appt today. I just can't deal with the constant cough anymore. The family and I did manage to drive to Maine on Saturday, and spend the day walking the beach. It was just gorgeous. The sun was out, there was a cool breeze, but it was just a gorgeous day!

Sunday, I spent most of my day laying down, trying to rest, but I did manage to get some home work done, and color a few images. The card I have for you today is for today's Critter Sketch Challenge. The theme for this weeks challenge is to make a card that is ALL neutral colors. I am going to tell you, when I first read that, I thought there is no way I can do this challenge. I love color, and BRIGHT colors, but I sat and colored this very sweet Nancy with bouquet image by The Stamping Bazaar, and from there, I went and found what neutral paper I had. The two went together and viola! A neutral card. If I can do it, anyone can. a Very simple card.

That is all for me today, but we would love to have you join us over at the Critter sketch challenge. They are being sponsored this week by Sew Many! Also, if you get a chance to stop by the DT, they have amazing cards for you to inspire from. Have a good day, and I hope you join us for Going Grey challenge tomorrow!

Good Luck with School Megan.......

Wow....It's Monday already, and the three day weekend is coming to an end (sad face ). I did have a great weekend though. Saturday the hubby, the kids and I had hung around and did errands, and then we went to dinner. Sunday, We went to The Parker River National Wildlife Refuge in Plum Island, and had a FANTASTIC time. Hurricane Earl just passed us by and with it's passing it brought the shore some treasures (for us anyway). Usually, at the beaches up her in the NorthEast, we have your average clam, and snail shells, and sometimes if you're lucky, you will find a small sand dollar, but yesterday, we hit the mother load (as my kids would say). We found HUGE snail, Giagantic clam shells, and TONS of sand dollars, along with a few washed up lobster traps. The water was calm, and the weather was gorgeous, and because the weather man have scared the pants off people up here about the water being rough and all, the beach was EMPTY!!! Lucky us! Today, my hubby to the kids to go visit his parents, and I stayed behind to get caught up on things. You know, laundry, and cards (hehehe), and tomorrow is my 1st day of Nursing School (GULP), so I need to get my stuff together!

My card today is for a friend of mine that I met in college, and she is a amazing person. She is a single mom of two girls, works full time, and is just starting nursing school full time. Like I said, she is amazing, and such a sweet heart of a person. The sad part is, we have had a bunch of classes together, but this year, we are going to different schools, both in pursuit of our nursing degree. I am going miss her. I can still hear her saying "Dude, relax, you're crazy, ad your starting to freak me out"!...So Meg, if you're reading this, I am going to miss having classes with you, but we'll always have Applebee's! Good Luck with school girl!

For my card today, I used Pinky from Tiddly Inks, AND for the first time ever, I used Digital paper. You know whats fantastic, Tiddly Inks sells Digital paper that matches perfectly with their images. I LOVE IT!!! I need digi paper to match everything (hehehe). I have also made this card to fit into their challenge this week, Their theme is Goodbye summer! Nothing says goodbye summer like the words "Welcome back to school".

My card today is also designed for this weeks Critter Sketch Challenge! The sketch was wonderfully designed by Melanie, owner of Critter Sketch, and they are being sponsored by Sew Many cards this week.

Well, that is all for me today. I guess I should do some laundry of something (hahaha). Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day! I am going to leave you with some photos of the beach yesterday. Have a great day!

For my Card today, I used the following materials:
Image: Lilli of the Valley, sentiment by Amuse

Critter Sketch Challenge

Happy Monday. Boy, I haven't blogged in almost a week. My family and I went on vacation. We did a 3 day stint in DC, and then 7 days at Ocean City Maryland. We had the best time. It was our first time in DC and I loved it. So much to see and do. Next time I go back, i will definitely do more than 3 days, and OC is always a favorite with us. We love the beach and all that comes with it, so all in all it was a fabulous time!

So, I am back and I got my fingers inky yesterday (boy that felt good), I made my card for today's Critter Sketch Challenge. This weeks challenge is to make any card with the provided sketch by the amazing Lisa Somerville, and guess what?????? This challenge is being sponsored by LIMELIGHT PAPERCRAFTS. For those that are not familiar with Limelight, the are a MUST to checkout. The carry array of products at great prices. One of my favorites!

For my card today, I wanted to combine not onl the Critter sketch challenge, but this weeks Tiddley Inks challenge. Tiddley Inks challenge was a "princess" theme challenge, so as you can see, my card qualifies for both. I new when I saw this image that I wanted to pop up her dress to give her a fluffy look. I am not sure you can notice this by the pic. I also though my Olivia Basic Grey paper (which can be purchased at Limelight), was a great mix with this image.....What do you think?

So, wanna play with us over at Critter Sketch Challenge??? Need a little inspiration? Check out the cards by the DT. THe are pretty amazing!

Critter Sketch Challenge: Robyn's Fetish

Happy Monday. I hope you had a fantastic weekend. We had a rather busy weekend with birthday parties and such, but it was good. I did spend a lot of time making cards. I am leaving for vacation this week and I was trying to get caught up for future challenges........

My card today was designed for today's Critter Sketch Challenge. This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish digital stamps.... The image I used on my card is called Peter Da Puppy! This was the perfect image for me to break out my new BG paper pad! Speaking of BG, have you seen the new sneak peeks of the new BG paper being released at summer CHA? It looks fabulous. I sure do wish I was a summer CHA........

Anyway, We would love to have you join us in this weeks sketch challenge created by our very own Lisa Somerville. Need a little inspiration? Take a peek at the amazing DT, and don't be afraid to leave them a little love!
Well, I am off to run errands today, and maybe get my nails done :). If you get a chance please stop by tomorrow and check out what tomorrow's Going Grey With Scrap-Creations challenge is! Thanks for stopping by, have a FABULOUS day and happy creating!

Critter Sketch Challenge #22

Happy Monday, thanks for stopping by on this fabulous day. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am thankful that mine was pretty low key (for a change), and I even managed to stamp a few cards.

So, it's Monday and Monday's = Critter Sketch challenge. This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish digital stamps.
I am new to Robyn's fetish digis, but man are they cute.

This weeks Critter Sketch challenge is a "Thank You" challenge. Well, I really wanted to use this image, and this sketch, which didn't leave me a lot of room for a sentiment, so I stamped my sentiment on the inside. The sentiment I chose was "Thank you for being You". I figured it would make a cute card to give to my hubby :) The Critter Sketch team all used images from Robyn's Fetish, and they each made the cutest cards. You can see their cards here:

Well, That is all for me today, If you get a chance check back tomorrow for Going Grey with Scrap-Creations Challenge! Have a great Monday!

My card qualifies for the following challenges:
Incy Wincy Designs - Destress it...All my edges are distressed
Creative Card Crew - Die Cuts. I used my Spellbinders
Stamping B's - Polka Dots, I doodled polka dots around my scalloped frame
All Sorts - Heart as the focal point. My pigs have hearts floating all around them.
Pile it on - Favorite things. As simple as this card may seem, it has most of my favorites, BG DP, Primas, spellbimders, and white pen
Little Red Wagon - Nesties...ALways...

Critter Sketch challenge and another card for Bella

Ahhh....It's Monday, that means the weekend is only 4 days away....I do love that thought. You see, my daughter is on the competition team at Gym (gymnastics), and we have to drive her back and fourth to and from the gym four days a week, and if that's not enough, my son and husband both take karate and between them, that is 5 nights a week. So you see, I look forward to the weekends when we have no or very little commitments.......

My card today is for this weeks Critter sketch challenge, and will be sent to Bella Tucker (please feel free to read her story here). This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge.

ul online company, Softpencil. Their images are overly cute. This is the last challenge for the month that you can join to try to win a gift certificate to Softpencil. The drawing will take place on Friday and Melanie will post who the winner is over the weekend. Wanna Play???? Wonder what the rest of the DT came up with? Check them out. They are all amazingly talented and you won't be sorry. Don't be afraid to share a little love as well.

Critter Sketch challenge #18!

Happy Monday!!!! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I had a very busy weekend, but a great one. Saturday was my last shift at Gymboree (yeahhhhhh), and I am extremely happy to be able to take the summer off with the kids.

Today, I have some very exciting news to share with you. I have been asked to be on the The Critter Sketch challenge Team, and I have accepted. Today is my week to show you my card. The challenge today is a sketch challenge (my favorite). I decided

that I would continue making kids cards for the Ethan & Bella card Drive. I used one of my new Motivet stamps that I just purchased at the Springfield Ma, stamp show. I really like how it turned out. Lots of fun coloring it.

The critter Sketch Challenge is being sponsored by Soft Pencil. Of course we could love to see your Soft Pencil images put to use but it's not required. Our challenges have no vendor restrictions!! Soft Pencils have some FREE images on their blog for you to try :)

Need a little inspiration? Take a look at the DT's creations, and don't be afraid to leave them a little love:

Going Grey Challenge #7-Use 3 embellishments

Happy Tuesday......Hopefully you all had a fabulous weekend. I can't believe that this is our 7th challenge here at Scrap-Creations. You know what they say "Time flies when you're having fun", and it really has been fun. Thank you so much for everyone who plays with us.

This weeks weeks challenge is to use 3 embellishments. Not bad right. I used 2 different flowers and some gems. Do you love my image?????? It is image from Stamp N Plus Scrap N. It is a very different image for me, but I enjoyed playing with it. This image looks a little country to me, so when I was making my card I was trying to come up with some country looking paper and in the mist of trying to do that, I completely forgot to use the basis of my challenge BASIC GREY PAPER (arghhh....). I am losing it I swear. I also combined my challenge with the following.

Critter Sketch Challenge- use 10 different items in your project. I used 4 different pieces of DP, 2 different colors of card stock, 2 different colored roses, gems, and stickles.

Friday Sketchers Challenge: I used their sketch

Guess what....This weeks challenged is a prize challenge. This weeks prize is being sponsored by Stamp N Plus Scrap N. LuAnn, the owner, has generously donated some unmounted stamps to give away to one lucky winner of the challenge this week.

So, what see what the amazing DT came up with for this weeks challenge........

Congrats Gerrie. Please e-mail me your mailing address and we will get your paper on it's way...Wahooooo

So, as you may have noticed, this weeks challenge is a St.Paddy's themed card. I used one of my new stamps from Paper Jewels and my card also qualifies for the Critter Challenge . I Love when you can combine challenges like that.... So, being that the whole design team unknowingly used the Origins paper pack for their cards, I am offering up 1 6x6 pad of origins paper to the winner of this weeks challenge. Remember, your card must be St. Paddy's Day themed and you MUST use any Basic Grey paper.

Without further a do, let me show you the cards the Amazing DT come up with for this weeks challenge!
