Happy Birthday Lucas, and thank you Kerry
My good friend Pia is having her sons 4th Birthday Party tomorrow and I wanted to make him a card. It's not always easy for me to make boy birthday cards, but I had just gone to my LSS today and had this card in mind, so I purchased this High Hopes boy clown stamp. This is not one of my favorite cards, but I have to justify it by thinking it's only for a 4 year old. My coloring wasn't perfect, and I kinda went a little crazy with my white ball pen. Well, whatever, it's homemade and it's done. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCAS.....
Supplies:
Stamps: High Hopes, SU
paper: CTMH
Ink: copics, memento
Misc: white ball pen
A big thank you to my BFF Kerry DC for my new favorite toy. Kerry bought me a new OTT light, and I used it for the first time tonight and it's amazing. Thanks so much good friend.

Whipper Snapper contest
I am so excited, and I have to share. As many of you know, I am a Whipper Snapper junkie. I love there images and I have such a great time coloring them. Well, a while back, my BFF Kerry told me about a contest Whipper snapper was holding. The theme was Holiday or winter. The Prize 1st was $100 Free product, 2nd $50.00 Free product and 3rd was $25.00 Free product, and then they will give you $10.00 for every card they keep for publication.
So, I thought "I may as well give it a try, I can always use FREE product". Well, I made 5 cards. The due date was Dec 15th, and on Friday the 12th, I was really busy and decided that I wouldn't bother mailing them in. I figured at the most I might get $20.00. Well, when I was talking to Kerry at 4:30 that evening, I told her that I wasn't going to bother sending in the cards, and that I really didn't have the time to get them together. Well, she said "are you kinding me!!!". She was right (per ususal), after all the time I spent making them, I should send them in. So, off to the post office I went, and I stood in line for 1/2 hour (no lie), and shipped them next day.
Well, are you ready????? Come to find out, my card won 2nd place. OMG...$50.00 FREE product, but when I continued to read the e-mail, they accepted all 5 cards....OMG....$90.00 FREE product. I still can't believe it.
I have posted my winning card here, but you can view the other winners here
So, if you love Whipper Snapper as much as I do, continue to check out there website for future contests, you never know until you try.
Thanks Kerry for always encouraging me with my creativity. You are a good friend. Luv ya!

Blogger's Challenge #78 Not your ordinary Christmas colors
Oh, this weeks has been something else. I finished my finals, and I have been working the last 3 nights in a row. We are in the middle of our first big snow storm of the season, and I am only finding time to make my card this evening. I do apologize for the quality of the picture. My scanner isn;t hooked up, and it is 10pm at night, so not great light.
This weeks Blogger's challenge was to make a Christmas card that was not typical Christmas colors. So, after playing awhile, I decided on blue and pink. I used a image from my good friend pia, and put this card together last minute. I really wanted to play, so here it is. I hope you enjoy.
TO ALL MY BLOGGER"S CHALLENGE FRIENDS: MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!
Supplies:
stamps: spiral whisper, SU sentiment

The Winter's beast and beauty
Last night was a nightmare. Our lights went out at 10:30pm, and stayed out until this morning. We had a pretty significant ice storm. I hardly slept, as I was worried sick about all the trees I could hear cracking all around us. We have a huge pine tree in our front yard, and it was losing branches left and right. At one point during the night, we heard a huge crash, and it turned out to be a huge branch from the pine, which wiped out the wires from our house. Needless to say, when we woke up, I was not shocked to see the mess in my yard, nor the neighbors. Once I was passed the aw of the storms strengh, I started to notice the beauty that it left behind. Of course I had to run and get my camera. I hope the weather is better where you are.
Bloggers Challenge # 77: Ornament or Home decor
MIA....that's what i have been lately. I just finished the semester and I have 1 final to go (chem...aarrgghhh). I am sooo happy it's over. It's so hard when you want to be creating, but instead you are committed to your responsibilities.
Anyway, I missed the last 2 weeks, but I really wanted to play, so I put this ornament together this morning. It was really quick, but I think it came out okay. I even broke out my embossing supplies. I can't remember the last time I embossed anything. So, Let me know what you think, and I hope you are all catching your breath in this busy season.
Supplies:
Stamps: one of the AC Moore $1.00 stamps

Have snow will shovel
OMGoodness.....What a week it has been. First Thanksgiving, and then Black Friday (I work in retail), and then the Thanksgiving weekend in retail, I am exhausted!!! I know face the last 2 weeks of the semester, and I have to say, I can't wait till it's over.
So, in the midst of all that went on last week, I decided I needed some time to sit and have some coloring therapy. My friend Pia stamped me some of her new Whipper Snapper images and I decided to give them a try. I must admit that this card took me a long time to color. My good friend Kerry told me to start blending my colors, and that is what I did here. You probably can't tell, but I used a few different colors to make the colors that I arrived at. After approx 1 hour of coloring, I decided that I really like how this card turned out. What do you think?
Well, Happy Cyber Monday, and I am hoping to get another card done tonight for tomorrow.
Supplies:
Stamps: Whipper Snapper
Ink: copics, memento black, brilliance white
paper: SU colored cardstock, paper trey white

Turnip, Bug, Rodent, maybe Alien
The answer...... I have no idea what this image is. I received this image in a image swap from SGGW. I can definitely say this was a true challenge. Honestly, when I first looked at the image, I thought "what am I going to do with this, and what is it", but soon after I sat and played around with "it", it all started to flow. I still have no idea what the image is, but I thought the saying "celebrate you" was perfect for the image. You know, the whole Alien (maybe) dancing in a tutu. It's Kinda like saying, no matter what people think, be yourself. Sometimes I feel like this in the stamping community. There are so many wonderful card makers out there and you look at all their cards and think "wow, I wish my cards look like theirs". Well, my cards don't look like "theirs", but my cards are mine. My style, my creativity and my ART. As a good friend of mine would say, Mine, mine, all mine! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday. Remember short week. Yeah......
BLOG CANDY REMINDER: today is the last day. I will pick and post the winner tomorrow night. GOOD LUCK! Thanks for all who participated.

Bloggers Challenge # 74: Happy Thanksgiving
TGIF......I couldn't be happier that it's friday. I worked a ton of hours this week, had to do a oral presentation in one of my classes, Had a serious chemistry week, and ran the kids all over creation. This will be my first weekend off (I don't have to work and have no commitments)in 5 weeks. So, when I say TGIF, I seriosly mean it.
Friday always means Bloggers Challenge, and this weeks challenge was to make some thing "Thankful", whether it be a card or a project. I decide to go with a card, and this way I can mail it to my husbands Grandmother (one more thing done).
I am not sure how I feel about this card. I don;t love it. I guess I think it's just okay. One day at A.C. moore I found the cornacopia stamp, and decided to use my 50% off coupon on it, but when the cashier ran it up, it was only $1.00. Can you believe it? Of course I had to buy what they had left. I couldn't leave that stamp on the self for $1.00 (even know I just bought one for myself). So they only had one left, and I bought it. Good deal!!!!
I hope you all have a great weekend. If you have time check out what the rest of the ladies at the bloggers challenge group made. I know I can;t wait to see what they did. Happy Friday!
Supplies:
stamps: unknown cornacopia, CTMH saying
paper: karen foster, su cardstock

Owl Winter Wishes
CHILLY.....That's what it is in New Hampshire today. I went out to walk the dogs this morning, and I was shocked to see such a thick frost on the grass and bushes, and it is definately cold enough to wear hats and gloves. I guess winter is arriving. How sad that I have to putt my flip flops away and turn on my heat. The good news is I can break out my sneakers, jeans and sweatshirts. Oh, how I love comfy clothes.
Todays card was inspired by Kitty from Spiral Whispers. If you are not familiar with this company, you have got to check them out. They make such cute (and I love cute)stamps. I had fun playing with this owl and you will definately be seeing more of him in the future. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Supplies:
Paper: Card stock SU, dp ?
inks: memento, copics
stamps: spiral whisper, pink cat studion (saying)

Blogger's Challenge # 73: Color Challenge
TGIF.....I am so happy the weekend has arrived. It has been a really busy week and it has been raining for days. I am looking forward to the weekend and nicer weather. How's the weather where you live?
Fridays always mean Blogger's challenge, and this weeks challenge was a color challenge: baja blue and Choc Chip and white/vanilla. I thought this was a great color combo. Not one I would have come up with on my own, but I was thrilled when I started working with these colors. I needed a sympathy card, so I wanted to work these colors into that card. I used one of my favorite SU sets, and some CTMH DP that I had left over and this card was my result.
To see more cards using this color combo, click on the Blogger's challenge banner on the left and check out what the rest of the ladies in the group made. Have a wonderful weekend.

Snow pals
Happy Wednesday....The week is half over. Here is my card for today, and of course another Whipper snapper (oohh I love whipper Snapper). This is actually a image that KDC stamped for me. It's wonderful having friends that are as passionate as you are about the same hobby,(and have just as many shopping issues as yourself). Except when they say "mine, mine, all mine". Yeah, you know who you are (hehehe). It great that we can share stamps, tools, paper and shopping trips. Do you have a group of ladies that you "play" with?
So, I am babysitting 2 children plus my own, I am trying to write a paper, and I have to work tonight, SO...I am hoping to have a card for you tomorrow, if not Definitely Friday. Have a great day.
p.s. Check out my blog on Friday for my first Blog candy. You won't be disappointed. I am celebrating my (almost )1000 hits on my blog, and I have a shipment of ????? coming in. Wait and see.....

Snow cute
Phewwww...unfortuantely it has been a few days since I have been able to make a card. I am in my last few weeks of the semester and the pressure is on. Papers, tests, homework, and soon to be finals. Dosen't it sound fun? NOT!
Anyways, I pushed the hoemwork aside for a little while and My husband entertained the kids for a few minutes, so I sat down with a Diet Coke, turned on the radio and broke out my stamps and markers. It's so nice just to sit and think of nothing except for coloring. I know as the weeks go on and holidays and finals get closer, these few minutes to myself will get scarce, so I enjoyed my time while I could. I made 2 cards. The one I am posting now, and another that is currently drying and I will post tomorrow. So, here's my snowman, and I will post tomorrow. Happy Veterans Day.

Bloggers Challenge #72: Same but different
Happy Friday.....WOW.....It's already November, and the weeks are flying. Before you know it, Christmas will be here. I am definately not ready for that. I work at Gymboree at the local mall, and they are already playing christmas music, The mall is decorated, and Santa is already there. Where has this year gone?
So, this weeks challenge was to make 2 cards, the same but different. Since the layout is the hardest for me, I went with the same layout, just differnt paper. Since Christmas is coming up, I chose to make some christmas cards. I may as well start here. I love this layout I used, which was inspired by a card KDC made.
The group of ladies at blogger's challenge always have some amazing cards. If you get a chance click on the "Bloggers challenge" banner and check the out.
Have a great weeekend!!!!

Believe
Happy Tuesday.....I hope you all had the chance to vote. Now we just have to see how the votes will play out. Its a very exciting night.
Here is todays card. My friend Pia was nice enough to lend me here Santa stamp to make this card. I have to admit, when I first saw the stamp I wasn't all that interested. When I stamped the image on paper, it was a whole different story. This is truley a gorgeous Santa. I apologize for the scan (it's crooked). You can be sure to see more of this santa in the future. Tune in tomorrow for another card. Have a great night.

Happy Monday...... As promised, I am posting card #8 out 14 cards straight. This was one of the cards I made while I was away in Vermont. I love this stamp set, but I do not love my card. It appears messy to me, but my daughter thought it was great (she is only 7). This stamps set is made by Lizzie Anne Designs. They have some great stamps check them out if you get a chance. Thak for looking and I will have another card tomorrow (hopefully one I like better).

Riley Snowman
Happy Sunday....ooopppsss... I missed posting yesterday, so I have posted 2 Riley snowman cards today. It's amazing how differnt a card can look when you use the same stamp. I sometimes get into the rut of thinking "I already used that stamp". Well, isn't that why we purchase a stamp, because we love it and want to use it (more than once)? So next time you are making a card and you are surrounded by scraps, go ahead and make a second card. Use that stamp and all your scraps. It some how lets me justify my purchases.

Girls scrap weekend away
This weekend My friends and I headed to Vermont for a "scrapper's" weekend away. We stayed in the Quail Hollow Inn in Chester VT. This was my first time away from my family and my first time staying in a bed & breakfast. The whole weekend was fantastic. The Inn was Fab. The food was to die for, the rooms were comfy, and the company was wonderful. I couldn't have had a better time. I can't wait to go back.
As you can see my Van was packed with Pia, Kerry and my crap. Out of all the bags that you see, only 3 small bags were clothes, and the rest was stamps, paper, ink and so on. What could better than a weekend away with friends scrapbooking? A good time had by all.........

The picture to the right is a card I made for Peter and Bob (the Inn Keepers at Quail Hollow Inn). They were the most wonderful host I have ever. The cooked, the catered, and the were just down right fantastic.
The reason I made the card with two dogs is, they have 2 dogs and one of them was a rescue from hurricane Katrina. So, I hope they liked the card. The stamps are from Magnolia.
While away I made 11 cards. I will be posting every day for the next 2 weeks (I hope). Stay tuned

Blogger's challenge #70: Gift
Friday=Blogger's challenge. This weeks challenge was to make something you can give as a gift. I didn't have a lot of time to put into this challenge, as I am going away for a girls scrapbook weekend, but I did want to participate. So, I used Kerry Donovan Casey's idea and altered some crystal light containers and put candy in them and I will use them to give to the teachers at christmas. Very simple to make and fun to make as well (plus you get to recycle).
This will be my last post for the weekend, but I am hoping to post something everyday next week. I have big plans for a productive weekend, and a fun one.
Earlier in the week I made these spider reeses treats. I made one for each of my girls for the weekend. Another simple project, but "sweet". These would also make great halloween treats for your childs class. I think I may make this a Mommy and Abbey project and she can make them for her class at Halloween. Well, That is all for Friday. I hop eyou all have a great weekend. If you get a chance go check out what creative ideas the ladies at the bloggers challenge group came up with. You won't be dissapointed!!!!!

Trick or Treat
It has been a few days since I have posted last. It has been a rough week so far. Work has been busy and I had to write a report for my buisness writing class. I have also been preparing for my Chemistry midterm next week. Arrhhh... Like I said, it has been a heck of a week already.
So, I had a couple of minutes to sit down today and play, and here is what I came up with. This really quick easy spider card. No stamping, and minimal work, yet cute results. This card was inspired by Toni Tessler.
I am heading away this weekend for a girls weekend away. I am going with my BF's to a Inn in Vermont for a weekend of stamping, scrapbooking, and good times. I am hoping to spend tomorrow packing and making my Fridays blogger challenge, and then I am of for the weekend. I am hoping to have a card to post everyday next week. Wouldn't that be nice. Happy Wednesday!

Merry Wishes
Ho...Ho...Ho....Ho....Meet my new Santa. I just purchased him from Whipper Snapper. I think he's cute and he is a lot of fun to color.
This card was my original Bloggers challenge #69 card, which was a color challenge: real rust, riding hood red, and old olive). When I was done, I realized I had not used Rust anywhere (ooops...), so this didn;t qualify. As my daughter would say "no worries". It was a really cute and easy card to make. If you want to see the color challenge scroll down. That card was not as easy or fun, but it's done (hehehe).
It's hard to belive that Christmas is in 2 months (yikes). I am hoping to make a few more cards with this stamp so you may be seeing hom some more. Have a great weekend!
Supplies:
stamps: Whipper Snapper . Sentiment by SU
paper: imagience (I think), SU cardstock
ink: staz on and waterrcolor crayons
Misc: SU ribbon, brads, marvy scallop punches

Blogger's Challenge #69: Color challenge
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, another Friday is here, and that means another Bloggers Challenge. This weeks challenge was a color challenge. The colors were Old Olive, Really Rust, Riding Hood Red (white/vanilla or confetti may be used). Color challenges are Hard for me because I rarely make a card without designer paper.
This challenge turned out to be no different. I serious spent 4 hours off and on making this card. Finally I had to break into the DP. Also, I didn't have riding Hood Red, so I used Cranberry, which I hope is close enough. This card is very different for me. I like to use cutesy images, but I really did enjoy coloring the pumpkins and leaves. I LOVE TO COLOR!!!.
This card is the perfect card for our New England fall. It is gorgeous right now. The leaves are slightly past peak and the temp is getting colder, but it is really pretty. Here are a couple photos I have taken recently of the trees and things.
Supplies:
Stamps: CTMH
paper: SU cardstock, Basic Grey DP.
Ink: watercolor crayons, staz on
Misc: Leave punch, Stickles, CTMH brads, Sizzix embossing folders, Marvy scallop punch.
Thanks for checking out my challenge. If you get a chance go see what all the ladies of Bloggers challenge made. You can click on the link on the side.
Have a great weekend.
