Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Do it Digi

Happy Tuesday!!! I am happy to report that Hurricane Sandy has passed and where I live we didn't see to much damage.  We were fortunate to only have lost our lights briefly and the kids only missed two days of school....with that being said, my heart goes out to NJ & NY. It is so heartbreaking to see so many with so much devastation....My heart goes out to all who are dealing with Hurricane Sandy's aftermath.
Was it a good weekend???  Saturday ended up being a very productive day in my house. We got our fall yard clean up done (well, almost), and lots of laundry and house cleaning, and then on Sunday Abbey (my daughter) had her first gymnastics competition of the season and I am happy to report that she did great, and so did her team...wahooo...it was a sucessful first meet.  As you know, we had to turn the clocks back on Sat night and as the rest of Sunday went on, I was feeling like it was 48 hrs long...Not sure about you, but it seemed like the longest day EVER!!!!!   The only thing I hate about turning the clocks back is the fact that it gets dark so early in the day (4ish), and to add to that it is also COLD now (18 degrees tonight with possible snow).  Winter is on it's way....ARGH....How much longer till summer???? LOL...
So, are you asking yourself "what the heck did she make for this weeks challenge"...hehehe...with this weeks challenge being "DIGI:, I thought I would go WAY out of the box and show you what I make with a image I used from a google search.....As you know, I have been doing a lot of altered journalingg lately and this week I wanted to chouw you one of the the first journal pages I made.  Often I use journaling as a way of coping with lifes stressors.  Some how getting things down on paper seems to help me...So when I made this 2 page journal layout, I wanted to do 2 of the same but different...I used a "digi" image I obtained from the internet and then traced it on watercolor paper and what "Dylusion" crazy from there....and as I look at this page all I can see is my terrible handwriting....UGH..letting go, letting go....Letting it go!!!
Ok, I have talked enough...It's time to get to the fun stuff, Like last weeks  "Pop It Up" challenge...and this week Mary picked last weeks TOP 3, and they are:

LoriannaThis snowflake is very delicate and elegant popped up as the focal point of the card.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Pop it Up

Happy Tuesday!!! As I am typing this, we are in the middle of a Hurricane, so I am hoping to get this posted before we lose electricity......So, needless to say that it has been pretty exciting around here in New England.  Not sure about where you live, but around here the news gets everyone crazy when the weather starts to kick up, so for the past few days, people have been crazy with going to the food store and buying gas, and stocking up on batteries.  School was cancelled today and most people sent home from work because of a state emergency! It is only October and the kids have a missed day of school, and we it isn't even winter yet. You never know what you're going to get with weather in New Hampshire.....
This week is our last challenge of October, and Peggy has declared this weeks challenge a POP IT UP challenge.  We want to see what your take is on POP it up! I used a Digi stamp (and I wish I remembered the company), and I decided I would cut and pop his head for a little more realistic effect.  I also decided this would be a great little boys birthday card, with the blue and the green....
So, last weeks Halloween challenge was AWESOME....The entries were FABULOUS... you know I love Halloween and I thoroughly enjoyed your projects.  SOOOO hard to pick the top 3....but....I managed and
 last weeks TOP 3 are:

Susan M

Donna S

Friday night I had dinner with a good friend, and then on Sat I went to my usual Weight Watchers meeting (yes, I am trying to lose weight).  I am happy to report that I lost 4.4lbs last week, which puts me at -14.4 lbs in 5 weeks.  It's been work, but I am not going back. Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Leaves

Happy Tuesday....I hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I would love to go on and on and tell about all the fabulous weekend events we went to, but we didn't...LOL...Saturday Abbey had Gymnastics (every Sat for 4 hrs), and then we did a bit of shopping (nothing fun), and Sunday Abbey had a Gymnastics clinic (4 hrs) and Ryan Had his very first Hockey game (they won).....This is pretty much my weekend from now till May.  Abbey does competitive Gymnastics and meets start next month, and Ryan has a game every Sunday....Maybe we can fit in some weekend events in between :)  Here is a pic of Ryan on Game day.....He is so stinkin cute.....Just sayin....LOL.
So, here we are in week 3 of our Fall challenge theme.  This week we want to see your projects that are "leaves" themed.   I guess I am really reaching with my project this week, but my tree does have leaves on the tree (wink)....I started this project with the tree in mind and then went from there. I used all Stampotique Originals Stamps, minus the bats.  I have to admit that this page was SUPER fun to make. I used so many different types of medium, and my hands were covered in ink...That's always a good sign of a fun project.  I would love to add journaling onto this page, but I am afraid I might ruin it.  If you have any sayings that would work for my page, I am completely open to ideas, and if I use your saying, I may just send you a little something......
WOW...last weeks "pumpkin entries were amazing!!! I loved them all, which made picking this weeks TOP 3 very difficult.  So after much debate,
 last weeks TOP 3 are:

Christy
 DragonLady
 Deonna

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Pumpkins

Happy Tuesday!!! I hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend.   I am happy to report that I had a fabulous weekend. My family and I headed to Wells Maine to celebrate my Dads birthday and enjoy the last weekend that my parents camp was open for the year (sad).  It was a great time.  Friday night we had dinner with my parents, aunt and uncle, and on Saturday we spent some time at Kennebunkport and then celebrated a early Trick-or-Treat at the camp ground.  This was our first year attending, and I am glad we did. The kids had a wonderful time, and got a TON of candle (oh boy).
For you that don't know, we are HUGE Halloween people. We love all the decorations, pumpkin carving, and we host a annual neighborhood Halloween Parade for the kids. Every year my husband goes crazy and decorates the yard with props, coffins, skeletons, and so much more. He spends most of October getting the yard ready for Halloween. Sometimes I think it is too much, but he said he continues to do it for the "kids"....Hmmmmm not so sure it's just for the kids. I will be sure to share some pics when the yard is complete, but for now it is still under construction...lol.   So, continuing with the fall theme for the month of October, Peggy has made this weeks challenge: PUMPKINS....We want to see all your creations that involve pumpkins. I have used my new stamp that I purchased and created this weeks card.  After I took the pic, I noticed that the ribbon was crooked...Don't look...hehehe.
Fabulous cards last week, I enjoyed all your fall flowers. Last weeks TOP 3 are:

                                                                           R. Myers

Norma

Kathy
