Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Halloween & DT Call

Happy Tuesday! This past week has been a very hard week for my family and I.  Last Tuesday, not only did my father go through major surgery, but my father-in-law passed away as well.  My father-in-law was an amazing man, with so much to love to share.  While he had been fighting cancer for the past 2 1/2 years, the end came much quicker than we had expected.  So, needless to say, I didn't manage to get a project done for this weeks Halloween challenge, but I did muster up a couple of minutes to color an image for this weeks challenge.  As some of you know, Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, but this year will not be the same.  Every year my husband goes crazy with decorations, and it usually takes him the whole month to decorate the yard, but this year he could only manage a few decorations, and it only did that for the kids.  We have been taking it day by day, and I know he is in heaven, but my heart is still having a hard time accepting the fact that we can no longer hug him :(
   Like I had mentioned this weeks challenge is Halloween and I colored Hannah Halloween, and she has a friend named Hedwig Halloween witch, that are available for purchase on Rick St. Dennis's Airless Chambers blog for a limited time.  Also, if you love Halloween, you have got to check out the AC blog, and the DT's work....it is COMPLETELY amazing!!!!
    Last weeks "cut it out" challenge turned out fantastic...your projects were amazing, and I am impressed with all your scissor skills.  It was REALLY hard to pick 3 this week, but after much contemplation, the TOP 3 are:

Christmas Already????

Happy Tuesday!!!! I swear, as the weeks go on, I feel as they go faster and faster.  My life has been crazy busy and stressful lately, and I have felt as though I am on a Train, and I am waiting for it to stop.  As busy as it has been, I have been coloring to manage my stress. For the past 2 weeks or so, I have managed to color almost every night.  yesterday I was able to get a few projects completed, and I wanted to share this one with you today.  Meet Triesta.....she is a Rick St. Dennis image and comes in both digi and rubber, and she is available to purchase at I Brake For Stamps (and if you use my DT code: SAVE10KRISTEN, you can save 10% on your total purchase).. 
    Since Halloween is almost here, I have moved on and started creating Christmas cards.  I can't believe it will be here in approx 2 months.  While I love Christmas, I do not enjoy the craziness that comes with it.  I really do miss the days of just enjoying the day and embracing the spirit.  I may just shop from home this year, and not get involved in the madness......Well, I am off to enjoy another day. Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge & DT call: Cut It Out!

It's Tuesday and Tuesdays= GGWSC challenge!  This weeks challenge is one of my favorites.  This week we want you to cut it out!  Yes, that means you actually have to use your neglected scissors for this challenge (die cuts don't count).  This may sound crazy, but I LOVE to cut out my images.  For this weeks I made this super cute card using Tworki digital image from Rick St. Dennis.  If you sign up for his newsletter, he sends you one free image a month and then you can play in the Saturday Freebie Challenge, and this was one of the images....    Happy Sunday! Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  As always, the weekend has gone by way to fast for me.  I definitely could use another day in the weekend, right between Saturday and Sunday!  We managed three hockey games, a gymnastics practice, birthday party, food shopping, and you know the rest, cleaning, laundry, blah, blah, blah.....anyways, I have been on a coloring spree.  I have managed to color 6 images in 3 days...Wahooooo...Today, I am sharing my Mandi image created by Rick St. Dennis and it is available at I Brake For Stamps.

What's Brewing???

Happy Saturday! I hope you had a good week....I am super excited about this post....Why you ask?  Today is my first "official" post with the Rick St. Dennis DT. In case you are not familiar, Rick has a monthly newsletter, and when you subscribe, you get a freebie each month to play in the challenge at Airless Chambers blog.  This months news letter contained Calista the witch, and if you didn't get her and would like to play with us, you can get her here, for a chance to win a $5.00 GC.  I of course went with Halloween colors.  I completely love the snake on her hat.  This image is so much fun.  I hope you will join us.  We can't wait to see what you create with her!!! Stampotique Design Team Call

Happy Monday.  I hope you had a great weekend....Happy to say, mine was a little slower than last weekend.  I have also been coloring away, which always makes me happy.  I have always been a HUGE fan of Stampotique stamps, and their amazing DT, and they are currently having a DT call, so I am going to put my hand into the mix.

 

The DT call asked us to show "our" style, and for me, that can be either "cutesy" or "Dark".  I love to work with different images and I love to add flowers and glitter, but I also love to make things dark and different, and I feel like Stampotique offers stamps for both styles.  I have created two different journal pages showing both, cute and Dark.  While I have n expectations, I have to give it a try, or I would have been kicking myself.  Well, I am on a coloring marathon, so I need to continue, before I lose my mojo....Have a great week!! Some "Wicked" exciting news to share & Blog Candy!

   I am super excited to announce that I have been asked to be on the Rick St. Dennis Design team....As we say here in New England, I am "Wicked" excited.  In case you haven't noticed in the past few months, I am a HUGE fan of his images.  There aren't to many people who can draw BOTH "cute" and "scary", and as much as I create "cute", I also love to play with "dark & Scary".  There is nothing better than working (yeah right, working...LOL) with images that you completely LOVE!!! My favorite thing about crafting is coloring, and I LOVE to color his images.
            So, I want to share my happiness with my followers as well.  Because I LOVE so many of Rick St. Dennis's images, I am going to give away two images, to one lucky winner.
