Family Journal page

Happy Friday! I thought I would post a quick page today on one of my newest journal pages.  This journal pages had to be one of the funnest pages I have made to date.  This page took a couple of days to create, but I love it.  I used a a few different mediums on this page: Dylusions sprays, Gesso, acrylic paints, and watercolor paints.  I also used my new Faber Castell PITT markers, and all I am going to say is :LOVE......They are fabulous markers!!! If you have never used them, Google them and watch a video. Christy Tomlinson has some wonderful videos using them....Beware, you are going to "need" them....If you decide to try them out, LMK what you think.....

The Advantages of being Disorderly!

Happy Friday!!!!! Wahooo the weekend is here, and it is a weekend with no plans (my favorite).  I am hoping to catch up on house chores, school shopping for the kids, and maybe get a little bit of crafting in as well :)
   Today I wanted to share my newest journal page.  I thinkk it is complete chaos, but I loved making this.  It is complete mixed media.  I use Dylusion sprays, watercolor stencil tech, I used acrylic paint, Copics (to color the girl), ranger ink, watercolor paints, white pen, black sharpie, Dylusion stamps, and a set of Inkadoo stamps. It's a complete mess and I love it ...lol....  There is nothing like taking a hour a day to sit and just play....really, journaling is very relaxing for me. I sit, almost ever night for 1 hour and create back grounds, add a little her, a little there. I never complete a whole page in one night. I almost always use a background I had previously created and move from there.  Like I said, I just love the mess......

To Live a Creative Life: JOurnal page

Happy Friday!!! I know a real shocker that I am posting on a Friday.  I have been creating so many journal pages, I figured I should start sharing some of them.   This page is one of my favorites, not because I "love how it came out", I created the whole entire page from start to finish. I created the background using Dylusions sprays, I DREW the image myself....yes, I actually attempted to draw, and I used my own writing (which I hate).  So, that is why it is one of my favorites.  I do really like the color combo as well. Sometimes when you are playing with the ink sprays you have no idea what it is going to end up looking like.
   So along with my new found love for art journaling, comes some serious shopping....ARGHHH...there are so many products out there that I just LOVE!!! I am trying to convince myself that I don't "NEED" them all, well at least today..LOL
