Ahhhhh......Life is SOOOO good!

Happy Friday!!!!!! What a week it has been.....Most of it FABULOUS!!!!! So, where should I start???? Well, as I had mentioned on my post on Tuesday, I have been struggling with some serious asthma issues, and as of today, I am at the end of most of my prescriptions and I am finally starting to feel BETTER! Thanks the heavens. As you know, life is just does not allow time to be sick. Also, I had 2 nursing exams on Monday and I passed both with pretty good grades. Pretty happy with that, seeing I was studying in the ER on Sunday night....Wahooooo...but the best thing that has happened this week is this precious bundle of joy!

This is my Brand new niece Rowan Scarlett Smith. I am a first time auntie, and of course very biased, but isn't she just the cutest........Gosh, she was just born yesterday and I swear the minute I saw her, she had me wrapped :) Just looking at her brings a smile to my face!

On top of all of this, I was able to sit down this morning ,and finally make a card. Yes, I was coloring at 5:30 this morning, but I really wanted to play with my Stamps and Markers!!!! AND......ready......I actually cleaned before I made my card.......wait for it.....wait for it........

Look at that....Clean...I can function again!!!!! I actually found my missing nesties!!! Now, to keep it this clean!

Now that I have talked about everything else, I should really chat about my card hehehe.....Does it look Shabby chic???? NOOOOOOOOOOO it doesn't. Toady's challenge over at Wags N Whiskers is to create a Shabby Chic card. Darn it, I don't know how to do Shabby Chic....So I gave it my best and came up with this "cute" Halloween card, which I will be sending to little Rowan for her 1st Halloween. I just adore these fairy stamps. They are so versatile. So, what do you think? Can you do Shabby Chic? I would love to see it, and maybe take notes :) Head on over and come play with us!

Well, I better wrap this up. Hubby and I are having date night tonight, and some how I need to try to fit in a couple of hours worth the reading. THANK YOU so much for taking time to read my post, and I apologize for not visiting blogs lately. My life has had me crazy, and time has been scarce. I do hope to visit and comment shortly. Have a great day and weekend!

Happy Tuesday!!!! You know what Tuesdays mean here at Going Grey with Scrap-Creations.....We have a challenge for you!!! A really fun one to.

But before I let you know about the challenge, I also have to apologize for not being around as much. I have had a pretty tough last two weeks. I was sick with Bronchitis, and from there my asthma just went to full flow. I ended up in the Emergency Room last night, and had to convince the Dr. that I didn't need to be admitted. Well, I wasn;t. He just sent me home with breathing treatments and more steroids. I will admit that I am starting to feel a bit better. I am hoping for full recovery by Friday. I would like to take advantage of the fabulous Fall weather.

OK, our challenge this week is Really Cool!!!!! Create a card that is movie inspired.

As you can see, I went with the Twilight theme for my card! I don;t have much creativity going on, and I really wanted to play in this super cool challenge, so i used a pic off the Internet. Not my greatest card, but It works!

Wags N Wiskers Challenge 33- Diamonds and pearls

This is my second post for the Day, If you're lookingfor The stamping Bazaar Challenge post, please scroll down!

MERRY CHRISTMAS.......just kidding. Let's make it through the Fall first *smile*. Look at this, I have two cards in one day, that doesn't happen that often. Well as I had mentioned before, I really haven't been feeling all that well, and honestly, when I sat down to make this card I was completely exhausted, but I just love to color these sweet Wags N Whiskers images. They are just darling, although, I do not love my layout here. Not my best card ever, but like I said, I am not at my best! A not so great homemade card is better than any Hallmark card !

I made this card for today's WNW diamonds and pearls challenge. Simple challenge for me, as I love to use pearls :) I used WNW's Sweet Danni and Bella, and made my first Christmas card of the year :)
I also broke out my new pack of Memory box DP. If you haven't seen it, you've gotta check it out. It's gorgeous!.

Well, I "think" I am feeling better today, so I have a ton to catch up on. If you are looking to join in on the Wags N Whiskers Challenge, we would love to have you. Need a little inspiration? Check out what the amazing DT came up with. You can see their work here!

Thank you so much for stopping by, it really means a lot. I hope you have a fabulous weekend (I will be studying, which means no cards for me), Happy Creating!

The Stamping Bazaar: Operation Write Home

Wow, it's Friday already. What a week I'll tell ya! So, let me introduce you to one of The Stamping Bazaar's newest images: Solier Pug! How cute is he?????? This card is very much different, than my typical, but I didn't have any great DP to go with this image. I know, impossible....well, I don't have any army looking DP, so I went with some scraps I had.
Today, is a HUGE day over at The Stamping Bazaar! Not only are the releasing 4 brand new images, but they are hosting their very 1st challenge (with prizes of course). The stamping Bazaar's first challenge is for :

Operation Write Home is an organization that sends blank handmade greeting cards for all occasions to deployed service members to write home on. They’ve mailed approximately 500,000 cards so far—and are still going strong! Our challenge to you is to make cards to send to them for our nation’s heroes.

Please read the basic guidelines here; it’s important to; it’s important especially to remember that glitter is NOT allowed (it’s a safety hazard to our heroes), handmade cards only, and OWH needs A2 sized cards.

“Operation Write Home” needs to be on the backs of your cards—it can be stamped, handwritten, or printed on labels. Please include a packing slip inside your box or envelope, and mail them to any of their shippers listed on the Mailroom page. In your package, you can also include notes written to a deployed service member.

How to Enter

The theme of this challenge is simply to make a Christmas card to be mailed to Operation Write Home. There are no restrictions as to which stamps you can use --all manufacturers/stamp companies are welcome!

Blog Candy Winner

Happy Thursday. I hope you are having a good week. Sadly, I haven't had much time or energy to do much stamping lately. I have been down and out for the last week with terrible bronchitis. I am just managing on a minimal level trying to get to school and take of the kids and get everyone where they need to go. I saw the Dr. on Tuesday and they have loaded me up with 10 days of antibiotics, 10 days of prednisone (steriod for my lungs), and at home nebulizers. I am telling you, I haven't had a cold like this in a long time. Just knock you right off your feet. Anyways, I am hoping to be better by the weekend.

So, I want to thank everyone that help me spread the word on our Going Grey challenge! We have had a great turnout in the last couple of weeks. So, are you ready for the winner????? is it you?????? Well, lets see......The blog cand winner is..........................

Such sweetness!!!!

Happy Monday.....another start to another week. I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I am still dealing with a terrible chest cold, in which I am hoping to get a Dr. appt today. I just can't deal with the constant cough anymore. The family and I did manage to drive to Maine on Saturday, and spend the day walking the beach. It was just gorgeous. The sun was out, there was a cool breeze, but it was just a gorgeous day!

Sunday, I spent most of my day laying down, trying to rest, but I did manage to get some home work done, and color a few images. The card I have for you today is for today's Critter Sketch Challenge. The theme for this weeks challenge is to make a card that is ALL neutral colors. I am going to tell you, when I first read that, I thought there is no way I can do this challenge. I love color, and BRIGHT colors, but I sat and colored this very sweet Nancy with bouquet image by The Stamping Bazaar, and from there, I went and found what neutral paper I had. The two went together and viola! A neutral card. If I can do it, anyone can. a Very simple card.

That is all for me today, but we would love to have you join us over at the Critter sketch challenge. They are being sponsored this week by Sew Many! Also, if you get a chance to stop by the DT, they have amazing cards for you to inspire from. Have a good day, and I hope you join us for Going Grey challenge tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Pia!

Happy Friday !!!! I swear that the weeks are flying by for me. School has me crazy busy, and there are some days when I start at 6am and before I know it, it's 1am. Unfortunately, that has been my regular bedtime lately. Homework is a everyday event, and some times becomes a all day event. So trying to balance the kids, school, hubby, and my house, is not the easiest of things .....but what do you do? You just do it!

So, my card today is done for a Wags N Whiskers challenge this week. The challenge is HAPPY BIRTHDAY! This is a great challenge for me, because I am always in need of b-day cards, particularly today, as I am meeting my friend Pia for her b-day lunch. Happy Birthday Pia !

When I am making a card, I would have to say that picking papers (DP) is the hardest part for me. I look and I look until I find, what I think is the "perfect papers". Well, right now, looking for papers is not real easy, as I have let my craft space disappear under all my STUFF! Actually, just the other day, my hubby came downstairs and said "How in the world can you work like this", and of course I defended my self to him, but I was thinking to myself "not easily" hehehehe. So, to show you exactly what I am talking about, I took some photos.

Now, prepare yourself. This is not easy on the eyes!

Please don't judge me LOL, it doesn't always look like this. It just has been in the past couple of weeks, when time is scarce, and I need to "JUST" work, and the end result is this....YIKES. It looks even worse to me when I am looking at these picks. I better get this mess cleaned ASAP! I will admit, as I am sitting there thinking about cleaning, going through my head is "cleaning your space isn't going to get your cards made"......and...it's true!

Well, that is all for me today, We hope you can join us for this weeks challenge over at Wags N Whiskers. If you need a little inspiration, feel free to pop over to the DT's blogs. They are ALL amazing.
That is all for me today, I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Happy Creating!
