Creative Corner sketch challenge

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was filled with activities such as work, family get together, yard clean up, kids hair cuts, a little shopping, watching Twilight, and today.....CAR SHOPPING!!!!! I can't stand car shopping. I may consider a appointment with the dentist over purchasing a new car.

So, when I sat to relax after a day of looking at car after car, and bargaining with salesmen, I took a good look around my craft room and decided that I have enough stuff for me and my friends. So, I am going to cut down (not out) my spending of stamps and such and try to use more of what I have. Seriously how much DP does one person need?

Anyways, one of my favorite stampers is Kim Teasdale, and one of my favorite stamp companies is Clear Dollar Stamps. Kim is this weeks sketch challenge hostess, and Clear dollar is donated a $25.00 credit to a random winner. I couldn't resist. Great sketch and great prize!

My card was made using stamps from C.C. Designs, which my BF Kerry so generously lent me. Kerry had made such a cute card with this set, and I need to play. I paper pieced the outfit and played around with the ribbon (what do you think). I like how this card turned out and I definitely will be making more cards with the set. Thanks Kerry!

STAMPS: CC Designs
PAPER: Bo Bunny, SU cardstock, PT white
INK: Copics, Memento Black
MISC: Ribbon, Marvy punches, white pen, Brads, pop dots

Great card, that image is darling! I'm with you on curbing my spending, I'm really trying hard to stop buying so much and use more of what I have whether it's old, retired, etc.

Very cute card today, Kristen. I know what you mean about car shopping. Why can't they make it like buying our card-making supplies. I have yet to have an Archiver's, a Hobby Lobby, or a Michaels, or even a LSS want me to sit right down, show them my driver's license, ask for the keys to the car I drove in, and ask me just how much do I want to pay for a pad of Cosmo Cricket paper!!! Just put a price tag on the vehicle, and I'm old enough to say, either I'll buy it, or I won't!! A very annoying experience, and I can never figure out why if no one likes the treatment and the haggling, why it continues to be the norm. O.K., I'll get off my soapbox now, and go do some coloring for a card I am making. Linda S. in NE

It is adorable, Kristen!!

I know what you mean. I have a bunch (not as much as you though) but I never seem to have the right one when I need it.

This is so cute. I love what you did with the ribbon!

I love car shopping because it means having a new ride!
