Happy Friday all. I have to say that I am thrilled that it's Friday. It has been some kind of week I tell ya. I have had family projects all week. My daughter (who is 8) had a book report due on Monday, and along with the report, you had to create a model. Well, the book report was a biography, and she chose Martin Luther King Jr, and I must say that my creative skills aren't so hot on creating people.

She had to use a container, which held the report, and then use the container to also create her person. Well, not so hot as you will see. The second project of the week was my sons (ho is 6), and had to create a 100 day project. Thankfully, he decided to go with Lego's, and my hubby helped him. As you know, Valentines Day is Sunday, which means the kids both have Parties today. While my sons project was to just have box to put his valentines in, my daughters grade decided to hold a contest, with different categories for the most creative, Prettiest, and something else (can't remember). So we have been working on her project this week as well, and on top of all that I had to write a paper for school, and The kids a I have been sick with a chest cold. Like I said, it has been some kinda week........
So, moving onto my bloggers challenge. I decided after all the work Abbey & I put into her valentines box, that I would go and use that for my Bloggers challenge today. Nope, not a card, but we built a actually mailbox. Well, when they said "contest", I decided to kick her project up a notch (hehehehe). We completely winged this as we went along. I had a image in my head of what "I" wanted and went with it. The top of the mailbox is made of cardboard, and DP, and I then attached it to foam board and wood for stability. I then had hubby attach the wooden pole to a wooden base, and had Abbey paint it white. We then attached a piece of foam to the base, added greenery for a grass affect, and plugged in some wooden flowers, in which I used left over DP to decorate, and to finish it off, I added a small wooden fence. Yep, I went WAY over board for a kids valentine's box. I knew I was at the point of know return once I had purchased the wood.....hehehe....Well, anyways, she was happy with it and hopefully the teachers don;t think I am completely crazy!

And last but not least, I wanted to share with you a pic of my son with his "premade" valentines box (it was cute)......

Well, That is all for me today. I am playing catch up today. I have cards to make, laundry to do and a house the desperately needs to be cleaned, after a week of neglect. I hope you have a FABULOUS day and happy Creating!!!!
