Gone vintage, I think?

Happy Wednesday and Hump Day...I hope you are enjoying your week thus far.  It has been a tough week for our family, as my MIL has been sick and has been hospitalized, but thankfully she is stable, and hopefully on the mend towards good health. Needless to say, I have fallen behind in my crafting, but I did manage to make a card for this weeks Stampotique Designers challenge.  This weeks challenge hostess is France and her challenge is vintage, and here is what she had to say:

 "‘Hello lovely Stampotiquers,
Lots of us get so excited when we get our hands on an old ledger, old books, or old family photos even from people we don’t know. But those are often hard to come by, or very expensive.
Because of that, lots of us became very agile in making new things look old. Using inks, paper distressing tools and yummy techniques.
How about we combine all that love for all things vintage and all those yummy techniques with our favorite stamps, to create a vintage looking Stampotique piece?
Can’t wait to see where that leads you! Ready? Create!’"

Well, I am not a vintage type crafter, but I was thrilled to give this challenge a try.  I am pretty sure my project barely qualifies as "vintage", but I did try to use muted colors, and I distressed everything to give it an old feel.  I used Dog Family, and Happy Birthday to You stamps on my project.   I hope you get to join us for this weeks challenge, and come see what gorgeous creations the DT has come up for this weeks challenge.....Have a great day and enjoy every minute!

I hope you MIL continues to improve, Kristen! You have been totally successful at creating a vintage card here. Your color palette and distressing are two strong components of vintage, and they are both present! See? You *can* do it!
