Three Clover Thursday& Digi shack Thursday challenges

Happy Thursday! Although it is raining here again (for like the last month, seriously), I am determined to have a nice day. The kids have a bunch of activities today, so I will be driving all over town with a smile on my face regardless of the rain.
Today's card is made for 3 different challenges. The first challenge is Three Clover Designs Thursday challenge. The challenge was to make a card that is Red, White and Blue. I did that with a little cheating. I added in a off white almost tan. I think it still counts. The second challenge was a Digi Shack challenge. Their challenge was also to make a card that is Red, White & blue, as well as use on of their images. If you aren't familiar with the DIgi Shack, you have got to check them out. They have fabulous digital images that are so much fun. The image I used today is liberty Lani from the digi shack. Now, last but not least, I also managed to do MaryJo's Mondays Lunchtime Sketch challenge. I had to cheat a little, because I didn;t have a oval I could use, but otherwise I followed the sketch perfectly. I love when I can get 3 challenges in one. Wahooo.....

Well, that is it for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful day and happy creating. We would love to have you join us in anyone of the challenges....Come on, and come play with us!

I also wanted to share with all of you very talented ladies, that the Digi Shack is looking for some new DT members. Here are the details.

Digi Shack Thursday Challenge

Happy Thursday.....and it is a Happy Thursday here. We are expecting our first sunny day in almost a month. I am hoping to take the kids strawberry picking and then looking for a nice day enjoying the kids before Gymnastics and T-ball later on. I am loving having the kids being home (so far..hehehe). Life gets so busy during the school year, so I am really looking forward to some quality time with the kids.

So, onto todays card. The challenge was a sketch challenge.

I wanted to use a image I haven't used before, so I went with the Sailor girl. I am not sure of the colors, but it seemed to work (what do you think). I am having such a great time playing with these Lani images. If you still haven't had a chance to check out the Digi Shack, you have to......They have such great images. We would love for you to join us here and play along. Have a Terrific Thursday!

Make a Splash on Monday!

Good Morning. Did you have a nice weekend? Ours was very busy, but nice. Today is my kids last day of school, and I am starting to feel a little relieved. Sports are coming to an end,a nd I will have more time to make cards (I'm hoping).

Today I used one of Digi Shacks new Lani image's "Mermaid". I love this images and I truly enjoyed coloring her. I love that I can make the digital images any size I want. What do you think of her eye shadow ? Hehehehe... I think she's darling.

I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch, and used some new "My Minds Eye" paper. Some very pretty stuff. It came in a big pack and I only paid $10.00 for it. Love coupons.

Well, that is all today, be on the look out for some Inky Impressions cards this week. Have a great Monday and I hope the sun is shining where you are. Happy Creating.

3 clover thursday challenge, Digi Shack challenge & Catching up

WOW, I haven't posted in almost a week, and it isn't for lack of trying. My life has been absoultly CRAZY, but before I get into all that, let me share my card with you.

The card I made is for 2 different challenges. 1st, Digi Shack's Thursday challenge, which was a sketch challenge, and 2nd Three Clover Thursday challenge which was paper piecing. Don't you love when it works out like that.

I used one of the New Digi Shack's new images (they are available to purchase here). These new Lani images are FANTASTIC. I am having the best time palying with these and I LOVE Digi images.

I paper pieced her whole outfit and hat with Scenic Route DP, which I just purchased from Ink ABout it. I really like how this card turned out. I am not sure if you can tell the size by the photo, but this card is HUGE. It measures 4x8 1/2.

I then added a little glitter to get the sparkler effect and of course I started to get carried away and added it a few other places. Gotta love that stickles (hehehe). So, both Digi Shack and Three clovers Designs have a weekly challenge and we would love it if ypu could join us. Head on over and see what this weeks challenge is.

Okay, so, my life has been so nuts. As you know, my hubby broke is leg on Memoral day weekend and has been out of work since (driving me crazy, well, not to bad). He can't drive, so I have been driving the kids and us all over gods creation, T-ball, Soccer, Dr. appts, gymnastics, food shopping, b-day parties and so on.

On top of that, My dog Princess of 11 years got sick and we had to rush her to the vet last Wednesday. Her sugar was at a whopping 38, her heart was in bad shape and she was having seizures. We had to leave her there and WAIT! At 5pm that day, the vet called and told me that they were going to do some extensive (and expensive) blod tests, but things did not look good. We were told to prepare ourselve for a bad ending. Well, I was hysterical for 2 days. Because my vet does not have an overnight Dr, I had to drive Princess back and forth to a emergency vet in Manchester NH (approx 20 minutes from my house), so she could be watched over night. Anyways, $1100.00 later, we found out that she has Addisons disease and it is treatable with medication. Phew!!!! Thank GOD!!!!!!

Princess over the years has cost us a fortune, but she is worth every penny and I will take what ever time I have with her. Paul and I got herr before we got married and have had her since she was a puppy. Paul and I had moved to NC for his job and I was looking for a job, so we did npt have any money, but I really wanted a dog. SO, I sold my Beanie babies (when they were hot) and purchased Princess with that money at a Flea Market. Thats right, a flea market. Whatever, she has been a amazing dog and I cherish her!

Well, I am off to another day of running around. I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I hope the sun is shining where ypou are!

Three Clover Thursday challenge

This weeks challenge is to make a card or project for Dad (or man), and use metal. Brads, hinges, or whatever.

My card today is made using a image from The Digi Shack. I combined that with some of my new Basic Grey paper, and added my metal (brads). I don't often make masculine cards, but when I do, I really enjoy doing them.

I am trying to use up my scraps and decorate the inside of my cards as well. I used a SU INK sentiment for the inside of the card. This card will be going to my dad. He owns a boat and loves the ocean, so this will be perfect.

This Digi image from Digi Shack is new and is a part of a digi pack. Great images and really cheap. You should check them out! I hope you have a wonderful Thursday and happy creating. If you feel like playing, head on over to Kerry's blog and play along!

Happy Birthday Abbey & Digi Shack Thursday challenge

WOW, it has been a few days since I posted. Things have been crazy over here in our house. Last Wednesday my husbands aunt passed away, and on Sunday, my husband tripped outside and broke his ankle in two different places. So, needless to say it's been all me. He broke his right ankle, which means he can't drive, and really can hardly walk. We are seeing the orthopedic surgeon today to get a date for surgery. He will need a plate and screws to keep the ankle lined up. I am telling you, when it rains it pours.
My daughter is also making her 1st communion this weekend and I have been trying to get ready for that as well. So this is the reason for my lack of post. Not enough time in the day for me.

WOW....Haw time flies when you're having fun. My Daughter Abbey turned 8 yesterday and it was blowing my mind. Amazing how fast time goes. I can clearly remember the days when she was an infant and loved to be snuggled, and now, Still likes to be snuggled, but not in front of her friends.

For her special day yesterday, I made Choc Chip cookie sandwhiches for her to bring to school and share with her class, and then I went and had lunch with her at school and treated her to a McDonalds Happy meal. She was very popular at lunch (hehehe).

When I was making the cookies for her class, I decided that I would use the left over cookie dough and make Abbey a giant cookie for her birthday, instead of cake. I frosted it with choc frosting and added some pink sprinkles. Well, as you can see from the photos, this was a BIG hit. She took at bite and said "I am in love". She's so silly.

Today is Digi Shacks Thursday challenge, and the challenge at hand is a sketch challenge . My favorite. I used DIgi Shacks weaved flower pot and saying and some new Making Memories paper I got from The Paper Tree.

So, if you're looking for a challenge, head on over to the Digi Shack and play along. While you're there, check out their new Digi packs. They are super cute and at a great price. I am loving the DIGI world. So easy! Have a great Thursday and maybe I will see you on Friday.

P.S. Today is also Three Clover Design Thursday. Due to lack of time I was not able to play, but if you would like to join them, head on over. Her challenge today is Ship Shape. ANy card that is not square or rectangle. Check it out if you get a chance! There's a prize.....

I also wanted to share with you that Digi Shack is the host over at Card Patterns. The challenge is a sketch challenge, and the prize is FREE Digi images.

Here is the card I made for their sketch challenge, but this card has a much better purpose. I made this card for my good friend Pia. Pia's 93 yo Grandmother passed away yesterday and I wanted her to know That I am thinking about her and her family.

I used one of my new Digi images and colored away. I do have to tell you a little story about this card. I had just finished the card, it was colored and everything. Well, I decided that the color I used for the leaves didn't look right. So, I went back over the leaves with a little darker green, and all of a sudden a huge glob of ink fell on my card. Arrrrrrrhhhhhgggg. I tried to cb it out, but it was to much. I had to do it all over. I of course took a photo to show the glob. There was no fixing it. Does anyone know why that may happen with a Copic marker? What the heck. So, this very simply card turned into a all day project.

So, if you get a chance, head over to Card patterns and check out the sketch and then sign up with mr. linky. FREE images...... Also, take advantage of the Digi Shack sale......

Three Clover Thursday & Digi Shack challenge Thursday

Happy Thursday!!!! Today i have two wonderful challenges for you. The first challenge is Kerry's over at Three Clover Designs. Her challenge was to make a card using flowers the flowers can be anywhere or anything. This is a really easy challenge for me, because I almost always have a flower somewhere on my card (hehehe).
Okay, while I was away on my stamping trip in Vermont, friends of mine (Mary/Peggy)were showing me some of there new stamps. They had just place a fairly good sized order with Sugar Nellie and they were playing with those. Well, I have seen sugar Nellie and liked them, but in person, I LOVED them. Oh boy, another thing I "MUST" have. My card today was made with one of there images. They tell me she is a pen pal girl, but I thought she looked more "rocker" girl to me, so I went with that. These are really fun images to color and to make "your own". These images can easily look so different depending on who is creating with them. I LOVE them! I don;t always like my cards, but I was pretty happy with this one. She kinda reminds me of my daughter.

Over that same weekend I had purchased some of the Bo Bunny flowers (I haven't seen these in my area), and put them on this card, Added some stickles and there ya have it.
Do you love flowers? Wanna play?To participate please upload your card to your blog or SCS and leave a direct link to that post with Mr. Linky over at Kerry's.
Then we can all enjoy your creations!
When uploading to your blog or scs please link back to this post so that everyone can join in on the fun!
If you upload to SCS please use 3CTC13 in the keyword or title so that anyone looking can easily locate it.

Supplies
Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: Basic grey
Inks: Memento black, Copics
Misc: Bo Bunny Flowers, Robins nest baubles, Stickles

Digi Shack Challenge

Today's Digi Shack challenge is a sketch challenge. Trying to figure out my cards layout out is the hardest part for me, so a sketch challenge makes the rest easy. Love sketch challenges!

For the sketch image, I used one of Digi Shack's new Lani images. These are so cute, you have got to check them out. I new how I wanted to color her, but I wasn;t sure of her purpose. Who would I give this card to? I took a closer look at her and decided she was kinda "sexy" (hehehe). Well, that then lead to blue eye shadow, blush and pink lipstick, and then finally my saying (computer generated). I still don;t know who I will give this to, but I think it's funny for a grown mans b-day. What do you think? Wanna play Shack and join in on the fun. When uploading your samples to your gallery please use keyword TDSC05. Also, Toni, the owner is very generous she is over FREE Digi Hawaiian sayings. Go ahead over and get them.

Last but not least, I am addicted to using my new cloud maker, and I have been using clouds in all my cards. You don't have to have a Cloud maker to make clouds. You can use a scalloped oval circle. I am going to do a Mini tutorial on my blog tomorrow, so check back if you like my clouds!

Supplies:
Image: Digi Shack
paper: Basic Grey
ink: copics, bashful blue (sky)
misc: stickles, nessties

Have a wonderful Thursday and I hope you can play along!

It's Digi Shack New Release Day!

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Big things going on over at the Digi Shack this week. Today is the start of some newly released images, and a week long event of great prizes, contest and giveaways. If you head over to the Digi Shack today, you can vote for the new design team name and get entered into a drawing for 3 brand new Lani images. She is a coconut drinking, Hula dancing,Surfer chic! Way cute!!!!! Head on over and check her out, and while you're their vote for the new DT and get entered to win Lani!

The card I am sharing with you today is not a new image, but a super cute one. The fairy is completely reminding me of myself today. I was away for the weekend, and had a anatomy and physiology lab practical last night, a statistics final at 8am this morning, and I have a HUGE anatomy and physiology final tomorrow night. I am wishing there was a magic wand for me right now, but NOTHIN! So, there was no time for me to make a card with the new images, but I can't wait to play. One more day and I am FREE!!!!!

On my close up, I tried to capture a few of the elements I used on this card. First, I got this really cool new cloud maker template, so I had to try it out, and I LOVE IT! I also cut of the fairy to make her look like she was floating on the clouds (I love to cut), and last but not least, I added stickles to ger wings and eyelashes. It is hard to catch it in a photograph, so I hope you can see it. I also tinted the fairies hair blue (need I explain).

Well, I am off to study, drive my daughter to gymnastics and then to the library to study some more. I know if I stay home I will get nothing done. The only word anyone in my house knows is MOM! well, have a great day and I am hoping to post some new releases on Thursday after school is over!

Digi Sheck color combo challenge

Wow, two cards in one day. I am on a roll. to bad I have lost my Mojo. Have any of you seen it? I am not feeling so creative lately. I feel like I am in a rut. Do you ever get like that, and if so what do you do to get out?

Digi Shack is hosting a color combo challenge today. The colors: Going gray, summer sun, and certian celery. I don't have those colors in DP, so I used what I had that was close. I used this super cute new image (birthday Ellie)from the Digi Shack. If you're not farmilar with digi images, you should give them a try. My favorite thing with the images is the fact that I can make the image any size I want. I tend to like larger images, so this is perfect. If I want to print on pattern paper, that works too. Digi shack will be having a new release on in the beginning of May. I can't wait to see what Toni has up her sleeve! If you get a chance, get out the Digi Shack DT's blogs and see what they did with the challenge. When uploading to SCS please use TDSC02 as your keyword, so we can find your card. Happy creating!

Exciting News & A Sweet Share!

I have some exciteingg news to share, I have just been offered a position with the Digi Shack Design team. How cool is that? Digital images are new to me, but I am so excited to play with them. I wanted to make a card with my announcement, but with Easter being tomorrow, I didn't have time, but I couldn't wait to share my news.

You should definitely check them out. They have really cute images, and guess what, you can use your copics to color. All you need is your printer and cardstock, and you can print them when you want them. No need to have to pay for s&h, just order and their they are. So, be on the look out for Digi Shack samples. I can;t wait to play!

I have a co-worker, who has become a very good friend, and she knows how crazy I can be about my card making hobby. Well, Thursday was my b-day, and when I went into work on Friday night, there on the desk was a card that she had made for me herself (she is not a cardmaker). She did a amazing job, and even researched how we include the recipe for the card. I had to scan it and share it with you. How sweet!!!! If you read this Heather, Thank you for taking the time to make me a card. I Loved it!!!!
